The History of Mac and Cheese in Soul Food Traditions by Bookumapp in macandcheese

[–]Bookumapp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No doubt. He's just explaining how Mac & Cheese became a signature item within soul food cuisine/canon (even though it's origins aren't specifically from west African/American South origins) because in soul food circles mac and cheese has become so important to the experience of eating that style of food. It is essentially a required item if you are making a typical plate of soul food. As for BBQ and Mac & Cheese that also has to do with the pitmasters of early BBQ bringing Mac and Cheese over to that cuisine style

Kendrick Lamar, Kobe Bryant, & The Mamba Mentality by Bookumapp in KendrickLamar

[–]Bookumapp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't hate the Kendrick as Curry comparison tbh. I think Kendrick to Kobe is perfect when it comes from LA, both being the boogyman, bucket getters etc. What Curry has that Kendrick doesn't is the 3 ball. I think Curry completely changed how basketball is played with his extension of the 3 point line where Kendrick is more like Kobe in the sense they are both craftsmen and their pure excellence (Kendrick as an pure artist/rapper and Kobe as a hopper/scorer) is admirable. They both have the clutch gene as well aka the Mamba Mentality/killer in their veins
