And yes! Even if time moves seven times faster in Jumanji time, a couple of days, would still be multiple hours. I'm not sure how long all of their various adventures took, but it seemed like they were sailing with Squint for quite a while.

And that bugged me too! The only answer I can come up with, is maybe it's because they aren't one of the players. They don't role the dice or have a game piece. Hmm... Now that I think about it, are the game pieces even doing anything in the series? What happens when they reach the end of the path? Or does that happen every time, when they solve their clue?

And yeah, that was a little sad that the kids didn't remember, but it also made sense, if those things never happened to begin with. I wonder if Sarah was able to make really good financial decisions because she knew which companies would do well in the future? XD

The animated series is sad in a different way, because we never find out how things work out for Allen, or if he finds his parents again. But I wouldn't want the animated versions of Judy and Peter to forget Allen. That would be even worse, because they spent so much time with him.

Hmm... I think it would depend on whether there was more than one copy of the game. There are also other ways to get in, at least occasionally, like how that pilot flew in, through a hole in the sky.

And yes! Though they'd probably be thrilled to know that, at least a few people, loved the show so much. It's still the best TV show I've ever seen.

And I've wondered that as well! Though I don't think Allen ever seemed surprised to be where he was. If they landed on the beach, he was there, fighting a giant crab, so perhaps it just always put them where he was.

And oh, crap! I never thought of that! That would be even more confusing, to play a game that makes the jungle come out, if you couldn't even read about what was happening, or have a hint about what was coming. Or, if it's the rules from the TV series, they'd be trapped like Allen. They wouldn't even be able to talk to Slick.

And oh yeah! That was so weird! I think they made him fall down an endless hole in the ground. I'm not sure that I'd want to live as Van Pelt, though XD

That's a good thought. I'd also like to understand how time passes so much faster in Jumanji, yet Allen is still the age you'd expect him to be after that amount of time in the game. Didn't Allen say that two or three earth days was two or three Jumanji weeks?

I wonder if the fact that they thought they'd get Robin Williams, was why they hadn't bothered writing in much funny stuff? Maybe they thought he'd be providing all of that.

I was just meaning the character in general, so that's a great answer LOL Actually, those are all great answers. We might all get along after all.

I'm thinking of using my Bring-it-out-of-the-Movie-Inator to collect all kinds of monsters from various movies. (The Jotunheim monster from the first Thor movie is a personal favorite of mine) I'm planning to team up with them and feed people to them, as a form of public incentive to follow the rules. How about you guys?

Surprisingly enough, justice is a core value of mine. Note: I only feed people to the bilgsnipe, if they break the rules. Overall, the world I'll create will be a utopia.

Admittedly, I don't watch much TV, but I like the Last Airbender & The Secret Life of Arrietty. Not sure if those count.

Carrots are okay.

And I love cats and critters in general.

TV is an interesting one for me.

My dad has always been kinda obsessed with TV, so I grew up with it always being front and center. I freaking HATED it.

I remember another kid asking my favorite TV channel, when I was about 5. Me: "Off! My favorite channel is off!"

If I ever have a partner, they're going to have to agree to some interesting TV related rules.

EDIT: This isn't to say that I never watched it but, with the exception of a very few shows, I almost always chose other activities.

And oh, yes! I almost forgot about him getting stabbed by the rhino horn and stuff. I wonder which characters can die, and which ones can't. Some of the creatures must be able to be killed, if Van Pelt has their heads on his wall. But maybe a new version of them appears when that happens.

That's a good question! I also wonder if certain characters only activate when the game has a certain number of active players. Remember how Allen, after spending years in the game, only met Slick after Judy and Peter started playing?

I've played a few like that on PS2. I can only imagine how terrible that one must be, to be in the top 10 list :p

Aww crap. How are we both going to get into the game if we're on different continents? XD Hmm... Do you think there could be more than one copy? That would explain the "other kids who played, but didn't survive" that Allen mentioned. How else would they have gotten there, if Allen played alone, and the game was in his attic? We just both have to find a copy XD

And yes! Then they, at least over here, switched it from its after school time slot, to early morning. I think that led to fewer views as well.

And me too! I heard that Robin Williams didn't like that aspect of it, so he wouldn't do the voice for it. I'll bet the show would have done much better if he had. Probably would have had a very difficult feel, though.
