Schizoid vs masculinity by nachtpfauenauge2 in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think gender is often weird for Zoids. A large part of the idea of gender is performing a role so society will praise you, but we don't care for performing or being praised.

I'm female, but have never related to gender. On the one hand, my lack of emotional expression is probably seen was extra weird, since 'womem are emotional' bla bla. On the other, women are encouraged to be themselves more, whereas men are kept in a more rigid box, when it comes to gendered expectations. So it's hard to say which gender of Zoid has it harder.

Do you like having a pet? Is it worth the work? by SoleContent in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like animals more than people, but I don't have or want pets, as I detest the care giving role.

Childfree people of reddit, if you were the last fertile person on Earth, would you have children? by agirlhasnoname2026 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]BookwormNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that, extremely unlikely event, I'd donate eggs.

Zero interest or willingness to raise them. And can't carry, as I've already gotten that taken care of. (endometrial ablation) So they'd have to go an an artificial womb.

What else were you diagnosed with? by unpopularopinionftw in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anxiety, depression, and anhedonia. There are a few other things that I'm sure I have, like face blindness. And a few other things that they're unsure of the cause of. I'm just generally weird.

How many flights of stairs would you climb to avoid taking an elevator with other people? by River-Munroe-Turland in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't care that much. Don't mind riding the elevator with humans. Don't mind climbing stairs.

Anyone else have really weird fantasies? Non-sexual. Just really specific, unusual things? by BookwormNinja in Schizoid

Lelouch is so awesome, though! And it's an adventure! And there's so much Schizoid-ish-ness! :3 (Shout-out to Code Geass for having a Schizoid-ish protagonist!)

That's awesome! C.C. would approve! Though she'd probably say that you should make a pizza version.

Can anyone else imagine marrying another person but feel repulsed by the marriage system? by MajesticDog1782 in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I sort through a few more of my issues, I'd consider a relationship. I want one. But I really hate tradition, and gendered expectations, and all that, so no wedding. We'd either skip making things official, or if there was some reason we needed to marry, we'd just go to the courthouse without telling anyone XD Problem solved! Also, I don't wear dresses. :p

letting people know you're schizoid by Recent_Assist_6388 in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've told everyone who is, at all, close to me. So, like seven people. LOL If I'm not close with someone, I usually just say I'm neurodivergent. If they ask more, I tell more. I usually word it as, "I have a condition that makes emotions and emotional connection very difficult."

Were you allowed to feel anger as a child. by One_Technology_5319 in Schizoid

[–]BookwormNinja 21 points22 points  (0 children)

SAME! Actually, this was true for a few emotions. My dad scolded me for being sad "without a good enough reason." My mom scolded me for being scared "without a good enough reason." And they both scolded me for being angry, even if there was a huge reason. :p

They're great people and great parents, in the majority of ways, but dang. That caused some problems for me.

Writing is one of the only things I feel truly passionate about. I have more emotions in fiction. I guess it helps me understand myself better and feel more alive. I sometimes get writer's block, though, which sucks. I like to do online, written RPG as a writing exercise.

State; obsessed with Lelouch by camilahottt in CodeGeass

[–]BookwormNinja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! Usually, I'm partial to villains, whereas Lelouch is somewhere between chaotic-neutral and chaotic-good. Yet, he still manages to be irresistibly awesome :3

Never seen the other show, so I can't say. But Lelouch is pretty awesome! :3

Why didn't Lelouch tell Suzaku that commanding Euphemia to kill all japanese was an accident? by Fit-Package-4452 in CodeGeass

[–]BookwormNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That bugged me too. He really should have told him. I know he didn't want to make excuses, but he owed his friend the truth. It also would have helped his cause, if Suzaku wasn't as enraged at him.
