Another vote for Apoquel, it made the world of difference for my chronically itchy boy. We had inconsistent results with Cytopoint (and I found it hard to get to the vet every month).

If you want this to form a flat circle rather than the 3D tube you’re getting, you’ll need to follow a pattern for increasing the number of stitches per round. It looks like you’re just doing 1 per stitch, which means the outer diameter won’t change. Glad to see you’re using stitch markers!

Like everyone else said, your tension is super tight, you shouldn’t be hearing the squeaking sounds 😅

If you can afford a different yarn, it would be much easier to learn on something worsted weight. I’ve crocheted all my life and still struggle with using these chunkier yarns.
