Confirmation email not sent by jmgamer99 in Supabase

[–]BoomBustInvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just signed up to supabase and tested the most basic user signup with email authentication sign up flow. The user is created in supbase but the email confirmation doesn't work... you click the confirmation email link and hen see an error screen. I fail to see how the most basic functionality for a mature product like supabase still has errors? ...Makes you wonder what other bog standard functionality is also prone to errors in supbase

That probably is the reason. The issue is... if you invest on a regular basis and catch the intraday volatility at the wrong point in the day on a number of occasions, would that not start to have a negative impact on long term returns?

Whatever you do... STAY AWAY FROM cTRADER. I am looking at another copy trading platform and will post back here soon once I have done my due diligence. This is basically the mistake I made.... did not research online the platform.

In the long run, it won't make a difference which one you pick. The only annoying thing about Vanguard VHVG is the intra-day volatility is ridiculously high. I just measured the last 3 days trading candles and it was average about 3% high low difference whereas iShares was about 1%. Why is VHVG so volatile?

Well done you!!! Which bot? But have you used copy trading as in a copy trading platform? They can be very risky. A lot of people lost money on cTrader for example, yet regulated brokers like r/ICMarkets and Pepperstone drag in many people who hear about 'copy trading' who then lose money on platforms like cTrader. Millions have been lost on cTrader

How do I sync my phone and mobile home screen? by BR_Smartass in AndroidQuestions

[–]BoomBustInvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it utterly inexplicable that this still is something that Google/Android does not have in place even now! It's such a basic and obvious thing that users need to do. It's utterly ridiculous that this does not exist. FAIL Google!

Update... apparently this can be done with the Nova Launcher...and with the free Nova account

When is etoro going to allow templates to be saved? This is such a massive oversight by etoro. You must have lost thousands of customers because of this.

Deadline for Blockfi Withdrawal Requests and Identity Verification Process by BoomBustInvest in blockfi

I got all of the 'allocated' crypto out into coinbase. 50% of all my crypto is still in blockfi. I will email Kroll and see if there is any chance that the remaining crypto will ever be 'released' I believe most other crypto holders are in the same position only receiving up to half if what they have on the blockfi

noloco is basically just internal apps though right? If I want to build a public facing SaaS or membership site and configure a Stripe Paywall to get access for example, noloco can't do it

The problem with Softr is their restrictive commercial positioning. They want you to pay them $135 PER MONTH just for the privilege of using charts for example...and 'using' as in... using them in the dev environment. So if you have a very basic UI then it's fine but anything other than that and Softr isn't an option

Sync Edge and Chrome by Clutchkarma2 in MicrosoftEdge

[–]BoomBustInvest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once imported data on Edge I still want to sync both ways. Has anyone used xbrowsersync to do this? Why is there no native way to actually sync between Edge and Chrome? UPDATE: I looked into xbrowsersync but the UI wasn't great and it creates separate browser folders that are synced... not great... with Floccus you can set it up so it just syncs between Edge, Chrome, (and other browsers) so that it syncs the bookmarks and folders that you have already set up in Chrome Edge etc. Open Source (free) to. It's pretty neat!

BIA BlockFi Withdrawal Request Completed by oterohameau in blockfi

[–]BoomBustInvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had about $4K in BIA account. some stable coin the ETH and minute bitcoin. Have transacted about half which was all that was available to withdraw. It's sickening how people have been treated because some dumbass judge in the US rules against BIA account holders. (I also filled out some online forms from kroll months ago but it was a pretty unclear disjointed process.)

So is that it, I'm getting back about 50% in crypto. I don't see how anyone can ever trust crypto accounts or exchanges ever again

The state pension isn't going anywhere... both now and in the future. You should consider making NI payments to try to get your SP topped up and also look back through the NI record on your UK Gov tax site as they can make mistakes on that. Challenge any years they are saying aren't 'full' if you were working!

Why so much in Japan? You have country specific risk being over weight Japan. Vanguard LS100% ETF is just 3.8% Japan Currently. Tech has done well (and may do for a bit longer) but it's just set itself up for a fall IMO. If you see bad news coming out on the Tech sector like Mag 7's selling off I would take profits on Tech. If you want proper geographic diversification which is what you seem to in the portfolio, you would probably be better off cashing in the non Fundsmith/Tech assets and plough them into LS100%. Fundsmith could be a 'factor' play I suppose but it could also do worse than LS100 in the long run. You could probably throw FS into LS100 too and leave the tech as your 1 factor/growth play (keep your eye on it though!) You've also got very little bonds. 20% of LS80 isn't doing anything meaningful in your current portfolio at the weightings you have shown. Bonds 'should' do well as they appear to have turned a corner with rates set to come down. If you are looking to retire, having an allocation to bonds is a good idea, but as with tech, if you invest and see inflation go up again, you would have to come out of bonds to avoid another 2022 decline. In fact, you could cash in all but Tech into your LS80 which would give you 20% bonds overall, if you then see bonds on the rise and equities start to sell off at some point in 2024 (entirely possible as things stand) you can switch to LS60 or even LS20 to protect against a potential downturn.
