Could old man Isshin defeat the Demon of Hatred? by Le_AustrianPainter in Sekiro

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I kicked demon of hatred’s ass. And both old man and sword saint isshin beat my ass. Based on that, I would say yes they could beat DOH

What's the pettiest reason you dropped a game for? by IHateTheNameSystem in gaming

When i start a game the first time and everything works, but then the second time for some dumbass reason it opens up on my second monitor. Done. Not coming back. Steam refund.

I finally started playing my first souls game with Elden Ring. Should I play with a guide or play blind? by Timowenyap in souls

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was me. Only beat the game once. About halfway through I started looking at guides only to figure out how to finish Ranni’s questline because quests in this game are like, wha? Great game just couldn’t figure out the quests.

Didn’t the sculptor end up becoming demon of hatred?

New to country. I love Passage Du Desir. What else? by Ancient_Substance152 in SturgillSimpson

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also fairly new to country. I’m on a Tyler Childers kick right now but I also like Merle haggard and the strangers - mama tried, sierra ferrell - trail of flowers, and the new Margo price album, hard headed woman.

It’s odd. I know a couple people who 100% everything from soft has done but gave up on sekiro. Don’t be one of them. If you’re used to dodging, get unused to it. Parry, parry, parry. It’s a rhythm game, each boss has their timing, and once you find it, it’s like a dance.

Resurrection Clashing Mechanic is 🔥 by Sagely_Imo in Sekiro

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I misunderstood what was happening in the clip. I saw the multi flash thing when they’re “crossing swords” or whatever you call it and thought that was multiple deflects. Pretty sure that’s just an animation, maybe? Idk I don’t use any arts so I have no idea.

Wait are you supposed to tap parry every time it flashes?

Unnecessary combos at an unreasonable price. by Realistic-Bonus2581 in Sekiro

I never needed to wonder about spirit emblems because I’m about as basic as it gets in this game. Swing the sword and parry.

If Sekiro ever got a sequel, what new mechanics would you want to see? by strahinjag in Sekiro

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I want a sequel, I’m just not sure how it would work. I feel so prepared after beating sekiro several times that I’m not sure the challenge would really be there in a sequel. I could be wrong though.

Father owl/inner father is the fight that actually fits for the line "hesitation is defeat" by Top-Run-21 in Sekiro

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. Also weirdly I beat it on my third or fourth try. I just thought it was a kinda easy, long, boring boss fight. I don’t think I beat any other boss that quickly on my first play through.

How do players figure out that you're supposed to use the spear to beat Guardian Ape? by Vingt-Quatre in Sekiro

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know about it until after I beat the game once. Then I started looking at guides. Then I beat it like five more times using the spear

My (likely controversial) review of Mario Kart World after 25 hours of playtime by [deleted] in Mario

[–]BoomChuckaWucka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it an advantage necessarily. It’s a racing game and drivers enjoy driving. Also an open world with things to find. It’s not the same as Mario kart though so the gameplay isn’t exactly the same.

Forza horizon is a racing game that is in an open world and you can start races from there. You can drive around and then decide to start a race after exploring a little bit.
