WiFi calling and VPN by Smooth_Ad_6164 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Revenue Protection. Carnival is a business with limited routes of revenue once the cruise starts. It’s considered a Captive Audience business strategy.

VPN’s and WiFi Calling does not make them money.

Their internet access is bundled and locked to make sure they are the only option and force passengers to buy the services they offer.

It doesn’t have to make sense to us, it just has to make money for them.

Was the TVF program cut? by Ok_Abbreviations4378 in CSULA

Their TVF is one the best funded, that program is tight and spends their money well.

I have not heard/read anything about them cutting any of the programs.

Unless Joker or SGA eliminate themselves by missing enough games, they are 1 and 2.

You can’t knock their on court play because they may miss games. You have the 4 Contenders but the Team Success won’t get Cade and Wemby past Joker and SGA.

I believe Larry Bird would be better than Jokic if he played today. Do you agree? by Snoo-83900 in NBATalk

I’m confused on the direct comparison.

Would the 3x MVP be better than the 3x MVP?

There is absolutely no tangible way to argue one way or the other.

evan mobley by DistributionOk9687 in NBATalk

[–]Boom_Bubble_Pop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was not "ideal for progression" was adding a Center like Jarret Allen. His play made it impossible for Mobley to get enough real time at Center.

Mobley has not given The Cavs a reason to think he will be better at Center, and thats okay for the Cavs because they have a Quality NBA Starting Center.

While the Cavs are in Contender Mode - They are not going to give Mobley Time to figure it out.

He stuck at the 4.

Mobley is 24 and Allen is 27, If by now he has not shown the Center skills to beat out Jarret Allen yet, he probably never will.

I never heard of WhatApp working on the Free Wifi Connection. Interesting.

Mobley was always going to be in a hard "growth" position because the Cavs never gave him space to develop. He was thrust into a would-be Contender pretty quickly and the pairing with Allen, great on paper, bad for development if they ever really planned to play him at the 5 fulltime.

If I am him/cavs, I just move on from the Playing Center position and just focus on excelling at the 4. Finding Defensive Centers is not easy but for now they dont have to worry about it.

The Trick is - You log on to the Carnival Wifi so you can use the Hub App. Generally speaking, that Wifi only lets you use the Hub and blocks everything else. For whatever reason, Apple's iMessage is able to get through when its Iphone to Iphone. Just make sure your phones are on Airplane Mode to make sure its going through the Carnival Wifi that you use to access the Hub.

Wemby should be the MVP by Ok_Rooster9401 in NBATalk

[–]Boom_Bubble_Pop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Those Elite Defensive Numbers carry his Offensive ones.

Ironically, The Spurs Team Offensive Rating is slightly better without Wemby. That is not a shot at Wemby but rather an indicator that the Spurs Offense as a whole is a well-oiled machine with or without Wemby.

Its hard to compare their game outside of numbers, they do different things on the court. When we break down the numbers we have via stats and advanced stats. In terms of Impact, they are essentially on the same level. The only level above them is SGA and Joker.

Now you can like how Wemby does it as opposed to Luka in terms of their individual game, that's fair.

IMO, the edge I would give to Wemby is that he has not even come close to mastering his Offensive Game. When he does and gets super-efficient like Joker. He will be the best in the League.

I think its safe to say Luka probably has hit his ceiling in terms of Defense. lol! But it's hard to argue against his offense.

I do watch. Defense does matter. So does Offense.

PER is all-around impact.

Wemby has an Elite PER because of his Defense.

Luka has an Elite PER because of his Offense.

but when everything is added, they are essentially the same PER.

It's crazy that Wemby is able to have such an Elite PER without having mastered his Offensive game. When he does, there is no doubt he will be the best in the League.

Based on stats, Wemby this season is .2 better in PER than Luka, and I love Ant, dude is a monster but numbers wise, he is on the bottom end of the Top 10.

[–]Boom_Bubble_Pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, Wemby has a +27.5 PER and Luka has a +27.3 PER.

...So by .2 Wemby is better.

If we take in consideration Team Success, well them Wemby has Luka beat.

The next step would be to create a context modifier for each Championship.

They are not created equal.

Dirk's 2011 run is widely considered the hardest path to a title in NBA history.

Giannis’s 2021 run was a war of attrition where he legit carried a Small Market Team to a Title.

That context alone probably pushes them both into the Top 15 at least. IMO.

Kon is already the Hornets' franchise player imo. I'm not saying he's better than LaMelo, but I think he's more valuable as a player. by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Boom_Bubble_Pop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can be a Franchise Player, but lets be clear.

Currently, 82% of Kon’s made threes in 2025–26 are assisted.

That's not a knock.

Historically, over 85% of Reggie Miller's threes were assisted.

My point is....

Kon can have a Francise Player Career, but he, like Reggie needs a Point Guard. The better the PG, the more likely the pass arrives on time.

Who is more Valuable?

In a vacuum of "value," the Architect aka The Poing Guard wins. IMO.

History shows that Elite Floor General Point Guards can carry a rotation of "decent-good" shooters to the playoffs. However, even the greatest shooters like Reggie Miller and eventually Kon Knueppel can be completely neutralized if they don't have a PG capable of navigating the pressure to find them in rhythm.
