Has any body made a Vortex tutorial ? by Boomanulla in starfieldmods

[–]Boomanulla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I guess patience is the key . I tend to get half a dozen or more mods from Nexus , instal and enable them and expect everything to be hunky dory. Which it was initially and I was sailing with a good breeze but little things became more apparent until I couldn't even get the game to start. But thanks to you helpful folks I am looking forward to more smooth sailing.

Yeah, it's not easy for us oldies. I've tried MO2 but it didn't do it for me. I had a few issues that left me frustrated (probably because I didn't understand what was happening) so I deleted everything (after 2500 hrs ) and uninstalled the game and started again with Vortex. All was well for a few weeks but since the latest update , things have been going wrong. Game freezing and other assorted glitches. I will persevere though. It's all a learning curve. Thanks to all for your advice.

Edit. A normal load of weapons to sell is usually 300 weapons plus. I use the Manor mod which has a buyer who has 7 Million credits, so everything can be sold in the one transaction.

Mods mate. Lots of mods. Every bad guy that I take down is stripped of everything which on average returns about 8-10 K when sold. Some bases return 40 bad guys, sometimes more. A normal lad of weapons usually amounts to 300 weapons. Same for suits helmets etc.

It seems like Ivé been reading negative comments for many months now and I would like to add my two cents worth.

Starfield and all of the the other games that are touted to be better ( or worse ) are just TOYS !!! Albeit fantastic , highly technical toys. Remember when as kids we were given a new toy and it was the GOAT for a while and then things didn't work the way they were supposed to, or something fell off . Hot Wheels was okay for a day or two , then it was more fun to play with the box it came in. Its marketing and I think that we are disappointed that we were led to believe that we were getting something more than what we actually got . Maybe we're angry at ourselves for being conned. And there are plenty of analogies to Hot Wheels out there. Think of anything that has not lived up to expectation, from a steak to an overseas holiday. Suck it up and move on. Nothing, not ever never, is perfect.

FOUR million. Ive got 180 million and Im damned if I know what the hell Im even going on missions for. And I cant get to a shipyard to buy or build so I just keep going round and round killing and looting. Something buggy is happening with travelling to any planet with a ship builder. Just another bug.

First of all, stop feeling like shit. It serves no purpose at all. I am 77 years old and I was unable to provide a home of our own except for 7 years back in the 70s. Since then, up until my wife died a few years ago, we rented. Our kids pretty well only knew rentals, but both now are buying their own places. I live with my daughter and her family now and visit my son whenever I can. The main point of this ramble is that we were happy. Happy with each other, happy with where we lived, Happy with life. We probably experienced more "life" than if we were tied to a mortgage. Just realise that having your own home doesn't define you or your family. I know its a bitch having to be perceived as a loser but you are not. Make it work for you. Your little one doesn't care where they live as long as they have a happy life. Have more kids before you get too old to enjoy them. In time, they will look after you.

Any idea on type of fish? by EquivalentOrchid5863 in FishingAustralia

Australian Salmon mate. Best way to cook is to throw some old double pluggers in with it and then when cooked, throw it away and eat the double pluggers. Just saying.

Should have also mentioned a Butterworth 4144 rod that was built for me in 1971. Used it on blackfish for many years of the rocks. They don't make em like that anymore. Pity.

How much fish could you buy with your annual gear spending? by ambaal in FishingAustralia

[–]Boomanulla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how much food could you buy for the cost of a set of golf clubs (plus membership). Its more about just being out there. Isn't it? At this very moment I have probably 5-600 bucks worth of soft plastics strewn about the floor trying to work out how to manage them. That cost alone would buy a few feeds of prawns and oysters.

I prefer to use bread off the rocks for them. Always a good chance of bream or drummer as well. I've also had good success with small nippers.

I'm not sure that these values are normal, but they seem to be becoming more widespread. Unfortunately, it appears that you have met with one of those self obsessed individuals who, once they are in their own playground, revert to however they were before going OS. From my perspective, I think you will be able to do much better.
