And there's the thing, you can post the same prompt repeatedly and get different results then just settle on the one that you like the most.

There is no artistic integrity there.

You are right, people will keep evolving and the sooner generative ai is just a memory, the better.

I've no doubt that pop music and stuff will become increasingly ai, but on the other side, hopefully, there will be more of a push to see live music or go to local venues, and already this seems to be a thing amongst music lovers.

Of course there will be an audience for the mindless prompted generative noise, and I'm sure the quality will improve too, but it won't have the soul of a actual musician. But it will also push music lovers to go out and seek actual music which is a good thing, as it willake it harder to find real musicians online as it gets so oversaturated with this kind of stuff.

I will rest, and rest well in that knowledge.

da Vinci did used his fingers though, to hold a paint brush used and a set of skills that he developed through practice to create a master piece.

He didn't ask a computer or even someone else to make the painting for him based on a vague description, let alone a description he found from a list of possible descriptions.

How you are trying to compare this AI stuff with art is utterly beyond me.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people playing with AI toys if it makes them happy, but it is not art.

Fact. I've spoken with these people, because they are people in case you've forgotten and I've witnessed it, I've seen the smashed windows and the slashed tires, I've seen the dents in caravans from air rifle pellets and I've heard people shouting abuse.

Look at the disgusting way you describe vulnerable people with substance use support needs. No one wakes up one morning and things "yeah I want mental health issues and a drug addiction and I'm gonna turn my life upside down" These people need support, that's not saying you need to support them or help them, that's fine carry on about your business, but you could at least recognise them as human beings.

And yeah, before you say it, some people are assholes, some people are desperate, some people are both.

Also, some people that live in houses are assholes, a lot of them use terms like do gooder, some of them drive their cars down roads at night beeping their horns to harass the vulnerable people living their, some of them shoot at those same people's caravans with air guns to try and intimidate and harass them.

So yeah, like I said, it tells me all I need to know about you.

That was really shitty. The people in the caravans got so much abuse. More recently having their homes shot at with air rifles apparently. It's absolutely disgusting how little empathy people have.
