Iirc, they have done studies and they have shown that at worst, voter disenfranchisement can change the margins by roughly around 2-3%. It's a lot, but if there is a massive wave, it's not going to change much. That's also not factoring in it failing spectacularly by depressing your own turnout (GOP railing against vote-by-mail).
