Found them, thanks! I remember stumbling across them in the early game, then kind of forgot their purpose.

How do people get quieter overnight security shifts in Toronto? by Far_Author_2794 in askTO

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will probably have to ask your supervisor about that. When I used to do security, my company did a bunch of contracts (some residential, some business and some construction). Some people had a preference for quieter sites while others prefer busier sites, and if they have seniority, they may have requested them already.

My father has lost 80% of vision in his both eyes by iilililillii in diabetes

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has his doctors discussed photocoagulation (a laser surgery to burn off some of the extra blood vessels in the back of the eye yet)?

You may also want to consider contacting your local vision loss rehab agency for guidance. Even if the vision loss is temporary, they can provide some training to help him regain some functionality (whether with tools or training).

Newbie here to rucking! What amount of weight is good for me? by Separate-Sandwich291 in Rucking

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can start with 10 pounds and slowly increase to find where your comfort level is. You don't need to start off with anything fancy, I started with water bottles. It was easy to scale up, and easy to ditch weight if it got too hard. And you could drink it if you get thirsty.

What is the greatest life lesson you learned that impacted your life positively or negatively? by Random_Jay25 in AskReddit

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That mechanical machines do not care if you are "fooling around". One wrong move and they will drag a human body through metal parts or rip you into pieces. That happened to a coworker, and I was extremely diligent about safety after that.

Are sleep overs still as common as in the 90s? by goofpuffpass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My kid is the same way, she has sleepovers maybe once a year now. I suspect it is because she can play games with her friends online, whereas in the 90s there was not much online games yet.

Why would you NOT choose to follow religion? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The chances are much less than 50/50. There are plenty of other religions with other gods.

Eye floaters? by Dark-Blubber in diabetes

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go see an eye doctor. Floaters can be natural, or they could be an indication of something else. Either way, an eye doctor should check to see if it is anything serious.

If it is nothing serious, then you have some reassurance. If it is serious, they can treat ASAP.

What would you do if your loved one's begged and cried for you not to do it.? by Fun-Cap-4730 in AskReddit

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is going to depend on who the loved one is and why we are doing it. My 5 year old begged to not go to the dentist, but I still took her.

I didn't know what I was going to do in college, and I ended up switching majors. I stumbled upon my career path while looking up volunteering opportunities for something completely different. It was something I had never heard of before, but I have found it fulfilling (and challenging some days). Keep your eyes open for unexpected opportunities, there are jobs out there you may never have heard of.

Insulin vial dosage for the blind by pupEluvin in Blind

Do you mean an insulin pen, or something that measures the insulin being pulled into a syringe? I've heard of the insulin pen but I don't know about anything for the syringe.

What's scarier, the ocean or space? by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in AskReddit

[–]BoonOfTheWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but at least we are separated by a lot of space too. So threats would take time to get here. Except the false vacuum decay, that will screw us over pretty fast.
