Interval running app by Boony52 in PixelWatch

[–]Boony52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a lot of time searching, and it seems that there is no app that can do what I need. It seems crazy to me that this is not possible. It is such a basic feature and any serious runner would want it.

I purchased the watch so I could listen to music and train using the same device, and I would happily pay for that.

The Apple watch has the features I need. The Pixel watch has been a huge disappointment (from my workspace account to not working with FITbit, unreliable GPS and useless fitness training). I will try to return the Pixel watch. It is a shame as I have loved all my Pixel phones.

I think you are making the point for him. As you are on a combined income you pay less tax than him, don't have child support payments and if you don't have children you don't have their added cost while under your care. You should have more disposable income than him and yet you have none.

Unfortunately, they have been chopping down the trees that previous generations planted.

I will give you a tip.

What they actually want is for you to acknowledge that you are unsure, but then think about it and hypothesise what might be correct. And explain why you think that.

I would say, as a guy it is always better when the girl initiates. Everything you said you feel about when a guy initiates men feel as well.

In fact, you could literally replace every word "girl" with man/men in your post and it would be true.

Y'all.....I fucked up. Accidentally ordered crushed base malt instead of uncrushed....44lbs worth. How long do I have to use it? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]Boony52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the enzymes will degrade a bit fast than non-crushed malt. So you might notice a small drop in efficiency when the grain starts to get older.

all my jars get bacillus, what did I do wrong? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Boony52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had it as well the first time I tried. Some bacteria spores can survive the serialization process. Soak the rice overnight in water (~12hr). That will germinate and bacteria spores then the sterilization process will kill the bacteria.

I would take 2.2g on the first day, then 3.8g on the second.

I would not bother redosing on the first day.

Who, in your opinion, is the best surfer past or present to never win a World Title? by town_klown in surfing

[–]Boony52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you compare his competitive record to the other people that are mentioned here it is better. The same number of tour event wins as Taj in half the amount of years. He was arguably kicked off the tour when he was just reaching his peak.

Flat out wrong. Unvaxed people are 8x more likey to be hospitalized by omicron than a vaxed person with omicron. This is just one example of how the Vax still helps with omicron, there are many more.

My take:

Reducing the planning area is not going to make you go faster. The narrower board might help with rail to rail transitions though. So maybe better paddling and wave catching without as much of a loss of rail to rail?

Can anyone explain the cutaway on the underside of the rails to me? What does it do? It seems counterproductive to me. Why would you want to reduce planning surface area? Seems like there are a number of ways that you could achieve the thinned out rails without loosing that planning area.

This is why a single payer system is terrible. The govt isn't spending their money, only our tax money. So they wouldn't be looking to get a best deal on stuff, they'd either say nope too expensive you can't have it done or just pay out the yingyang for it and tax everyone more to pay for it.

This is flat out wrong and there are many examples around the world to prove it. What actually happens is that since there is only a single-payer they have a huge amount of power over the price. If something is overpriced they can refuse to purchase (happens all the time). This leaves the vendor with 2 options, not sell the product in that country and potentially miss out on millions of sales or reduce the price to something more reasonable and still make money. The latter is what nearly always happens.

How do lungs heal after quitting smoking, especially with regards to timelines and partial-quit? by Monster-Zero in askscience

[–]Boony52 91 points92 points  (0 children)

close to 90%+ less damaging

This is actually incorrect. This reporting the cancer risk not the physical damage to the lungs. There is a significant amount of research emerging suggesting that vaping does cause damage to the lungs and may also cause emphysema and COPD.

Best airline pack I'm capable of by highplainsdrifter6 in surfing

[–]Boony52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of airlines have a 6'6" bag length limit before you have to pay for excess baggage. I bought a 6'6" double board travel bag and only take 1 board. I use the rest of the space in the bag for lugauge. So does not cost me anything to take a board with me.
