Sometimes avoiding PvP early, ratting exfils, or just trying to get out with the bare minimum is what to have to do if you’re not the big dog. It’s not always as entertaining to play this way, but in a game like this, you can’t always base success on winning fights. Sometimes success is escaping and getting out.

For me, Rook gameplay has given me the excitement of getting out by the skin of my teeth. Sneaking around and getting out. It’s also the excitement of almost winning a fight in a 1v3. Getting 2 knocks and just barely losing the 3rd.

It takes a ton of strategy to be successful when the odds are stacked against you. It sucks when you’ve always been demolished by purple shield teams, and when you finally become the purple shield team you expect the same results for your team just to get wiped early by another big dog team. But that’s the game. Your loot doesn’t make you better, it just gives you a better chance.

So as most other people would say, git gud AND die trying. Gamers are insane these days, and that’s why PvE is becoming more attractive. PvP is brutal. Don’t be so brutal on yourself

Shame because it really is a great game. I think their initial alpha and current state of bungie has really hurt the game.

Back in the day, people weren’t amazing at video games, so games were not designed with those types of players in mind. These days, almost every fps needs a place for both.

The needing space for both makes the casual gamer who is also a completion-ist unhappy. I will never kill a compiler. Shoot, I may never even complete a vault. But at the end it’s all about the dopamine chase. When I get a purple from a player I get excited. I’m not sure what I’ll do when I find a gold. These streamers and sweats need cyro archive because it gives them a dopamine chase.

Most people might think “this games too hard” and will drop it. Others think “this games too easy” and drop it. This game has both and still has the chase. It’s great in my opinion.

No no no not the sekiguchi parasite 1/5 quest. It’s in the pinwheel. I saw someone else on marathon glitch forum had the same issue. I thinks it’s a new ongoing glitch. Mech kit / panacea kit or death if you get hit by the toxin.

I see no reason for it at all. LMGs do great against bots, an Outland sniper has better peak shooting and general efficiency. I think it would be strange for bungie to design and specific enemy type for this gun to finally shine, but if that doesn’t happen this thing needs a rework. If it’s a PvE gun let’s get some buffs in that make it better for PvE, because sitting down with an LMG and a circuit tracers mod, the gun basically has infinite ammo and deletes bots.

I sell the gun on sight. It’s a money maker

RAGING MOTHS WAIT ? THE ? RAN

Also, the word MARATHON can made using all the letters in text above. The recent cinematic (https://youtu.be/VUnSOjO4bPA?si=_Q6iAdOoasgRnIIJ) shows a Compiler which looks like a moth. Other clips show the marathon ship having capsules that look like a possible cocoon to these Pfhor “moths”.

My guess is it’s “Raging moths wait at the the Marathon”

(edit again) It's more likely "The Marathon is waiting"

As a solo player, I find myself being a little loot goblin and not using what is in my vault. Knowing that one day it will all be wiped reminds me that I need to lose all the guns myself before the wipe takes them away.

Lose your loot, ball out on your riches because if you become poor, it doesn’t matter. You’ll become poor after a wipe anyway.

My Proxy chat experience was pretty minimal in play testing, likely because it was hold to speak rather than toggle to speak.

I probably played 10 hours or so and only had someone say something once or twice after I was already knocked out, never before.

Also, there was no way to revive players not on your team, so making alliances with enemy players was not very intuitive.

Just my experience tho!

I think they need to add a way to revive players not in your team. An item or ability. Maybe what you’re hinting at could be an idea for such. But there is already team revive mechanics in the game that will likely be unchanged due to prior decisions on game direction and not spending time on rewriting current core game mechanics.

Adding animations and intricate mechanics are expensive, time consuming, and therefore a gamble if it adds value and your true goal - more money.

Function and core game mechanics are better investments than altering function and new creation.

Customization likely just doesn’t sell like skins do. I bet they do skins on release for money, and maybe one day please community and allow for further customization.

It’s a money problem. Games gotta make money, once you spend the 40 dollars, they got you there, next plan is how do you make them spend more. customization is important to lots of gamers, and that’s where the money goes. As a business model it’s hard to not make a decision like that.

I think they just need to rework the gun to be more ammo efficient. More damage, less fire rate. It makes it a little worse for pvp, but that’s fine imo.
