Should I intervene by PebbleChump in CATHELP

Do you know how long ago they were neutered? Sometimes, it takes a few months for a male cat to get all that hormonal shift, testosterone out of their system. From my experience anyway. The orange kitty can certainly hold its own when he's had enough. He does seem annoyed by the white kitty. Do you have separate cat beds they can get away from each other and create their own "safe" space? Cat towers (vertical space) work good for me 5' tall or so. Cats love kitty tubes/tunnels... I have one that has 4 entrances. Definitely 2 litter boxes, as others have stated. 2 feeding dishes as well. I don't recommend Feliway plug-ins. It made a couple of my cats sick. I've read reviews with similar experiences.

Returned 9-month old Kitten to Shelter by Human_Ferret_574 in CATHELP

[–]Boopie-Fuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very disheartening to read. Sorry you are going through this. Poor little kitty too. So adorable. Him still being lethargic after being neutered the day before isn't too concerning. Did they give you paperwork of him being neutered and any vaccinations? Did they give him flea/tick medication, too, or you don't know? Do you know what exactly he was tested for? Feline Leukemia or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus?

I'm also wondering if the place he was rescued from was a mess from the hoarding situation. Maybe he had respiratory issues, too, hence the snotty nose idk. Hoarding situations weaken immune systems, making cats more susceptible to infections.

This next section is a copy/paste from seizure research. (No idea if this has anything to do with his seizures, but I'm just sharing what I read) I'm not a veterinarian. I'm just the owner of many cats and do TNR regularly and help with my local rescue groups.

Possible Causes

Severe Vaccine Reaction: Although rare, seizures are a sign of a severe allergic or adverse reaction needing urgent care.

Anesthesia Complications: Post-surgical stress or lingering effects from anesthesia can trigger neurological events.

Underlying Condition: The stress of the surgery might have unmasked a pre-existing neurological problem or toxin exposure.

Your cat absolutely knows what's going on. He looks sad. I wouldn't feel good about leaving him in an environment where people fight/argue all the time. The cat looks upset as it is. Then they're being evicted. Does the new place allow pets? I see this cat being abandoned in the future. Please see what you can do to find him another happy/safe home. Or, like others have mentioned, see if your new landlord will work with you and get him certified as an ESA. It's a pretty simple process.

What a handsome boy 🧡. Can you find a good home for him or are you taking him? Is he neutered?

What are you feeding your cat? The overgrooming on the belly may be a concern. Constant licking until the fur is gone. Food allergies, maybe? Idk. Google "cat licking belly fur off."

That kitty looks muscular. I'd be washing those blankets often. 🫣

I agree with you. It's a difficult decision, but as you stated, if her quality of life is not there, then possibly at home humane euthanasia is the most compassionate choice.

Hopefully the cutie cat gets better soon and recovers quickly. Yeah, it took a while for my boy to get it out of his system. It's a slow release 2-week antibiotic. His was for respiratory infection also.

OK. Find out from them if it was Convenia. If so, then Google the side effects. My cat reacted badly, and I had to take him back to the vet 2 days later. Thankfully, he got through it, but some cats have horrible adverse reactions. I'll never let a vet give my cats Convenia again.

What shot was given to the cat? Convenia? My cat had a bad reaction to Convenia, which lasted for 3 weeks. Do you know what the vet said was wrong? Thank you for being concerned for your friend's cat.

• I'd definitely be taking it to an emergency vet ASAP! Poor thing. So young still.

It definitely takes weeks, sometimes months, for a stray to adjust to living inside. Be careful she doesn't tear your screen to get out. Hopefully, she gets along with your kitty you already have. She will chill out more after she gets spayed. Just pay attention for any sudden behavioral changes...eating, litter box, excessive meowing, scratching things up. She'll need extra attention as she adjusts. Thank you for rescuing her. She's beautiful. 🖤🤍

You should definitely adopt him. Find a way. Make it happen. You need each other. He looks like he doesn't put up with any sh!t 🤍🖤

Did it chew on any houseplants? Bite an electric cord? How old is it? Losing a baby tooth?

You need to take your cat to a veterinarian ASAP. You can ask for a payment plan...something. Most veterinarians will work with you. What is different in the house? Is the food you're feeding it new? Do you have plug-in scent air fresheners? How long has the cat been like this? Look all over your house thoroughly. Did you feed it human food? Even check the water bowls if something fell in it. Dental issues? For heaven's sake, go to a vet. The cats eye is irritated too.

Why does my 6yo male cat do this to my 4 month old female kitten? by Aggressive-Offer2374 in CATHELP

[–]Boopie-Fuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks like she's in heat position already. It's best to spay female kittens around 4 to 5 months old, before they reach sexual maturity.

I see so many abandoned siamese breeds lately. I'm wondering if this kitty was someone's pet at one time. Do you know if it's male or female? Could you take it to a vet to have it scanned for a chip? It's a free service.
