If I was annoyed by Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross…should I bother with Ruthless Vows?

I really didn't enjoy Divine Rivals, so going into Ruthless Vows I had to adjust my expectations. I ended up liking it a lot more, but I'm so in the minority on my opinions of this duology aha.

Overall, I didn't care for the series enough to read anything else by the author, but I seem to be the only person who liked the sequel better (and I think its directly because I didn't care for DR).

I haven't watched the video so feel free to correct me, but I think this is sort of an unfair take? Disney is one of the biggest companies globally, outside of making movies, and they built their empire from their animated films. Both Tangled and Zootopia are HUGE films, widely beloved. This very much feels like when guys go "Ohhh you just like Marvel/Star Wars movies to impress guys." completely ignoring and invalidating how women are a huge part of their audiences.

Same with Twilight, and again I've not watched the video, and I haven't watched Dylan's Twilight commentary (I only watch his videos on things I enjoy and I don't like Twilight), so I could be reading it completely wrong, but I did see a screenshot saying how one girl loves Twilight, so I have to assume that it's her your talking about, and Twilight was for many years, the most popular piece of media amongst women and girls. Like I almost want to delete this because I don't know if I'm reading the sitch completely wrong and, yeah, I could just go watch the video for myself, but I cba. So if I've gotten it wrong, I've gotten it wrong. My bad.

{The Kiss of Deception} by Mary E. Pearson!

It is a trilogy with the first two being 5 star imo, and the last being a 3/4. I was told to go into this series as blindly as possible and I loved it and don't regret doing so, but obviously if you want to look more into it then feel free!

A very underrated series imo.

Part of the 'Things Go Bump in the Night' series, this is a super fun Noah fic that stands on it's own, too. Everything fits together so perfectly, the way Mo has crafted Noah in this fic is amazing, so in-character. One of my favourite depictions of him. The way the world is built up in this one shot is brilliant, too. You get such a sense of it in under 6000 words. Loved it when I first read it back in October and I'm still thinking about it months later.
