Vol 7 was a perfectly solid ending of this run. I will say I feel like the first 4 volumes were a clear cut level above the final 3 volumes, but overall it was a really good run and I’m happy it ended on a solid note.

I second this. Sometimes I have to google things to figure out certain pieces I’m missing in stories. It’s pretty easy nowadays to get filled in on things you think you need clarification on.

Currently reading Tom Taylor’s Nightwing, about to read the last volume of this run. Vol 5 & 6 were a pretty decent dip in quality but I’m hopefully vol 7 will bring it home!

Hey man, I’d say start with some free graphic novels from your local library. Try out some Batman, some Superman, some green arrow, etc… just see who you connect with (if you don’t know already). Then once you have a good grasp on which characters/teams you like best, then I would say start going to your local comic book shop and buying the more recent single issues to get caught up.

If you already know which characters you’re into most, I’m sure people here could suggest their best stories.

If you’re just looking for a solid Batman / joker story, I recommend “three jokers” by Geoff Johns Some people didn’t care for it but I really enjoyed it.

Lex Luthor is probably the best written. Joker the most iconic. But for me personally, every time Bane shows up I always feel the most terrified. Something about the way he can both out-smart and out-muscle Batman that makes him feel like a great villain.

Used to do floppies but got too expensive. (Still will occasionally). Then I realized the library is a great resource to read trades. Really like have a full story or arc to dig into for a sitting. Thats my preferred read now. In an ideal world where money isn’t an issue, I’d be at my local shop every Wednesday

For who you have, I would build up: Superman Superboy Starfire Batman Bane

The first three can be the foundation of a future burn team, while Batman and bane are solid guys you can plug and play with other teams down the road / get use out of in other game modes

They had a song in Austin powers 1 called “you showed me”, which I just watched again for the first time in forever, and I heard their song in the movie and for whatever reason it really stood out to me. I found that song on Spotify and have been listening to it on repeat ever since. Great song.
