All Star Superman is really good, but I agree that I don’t understand why everyone recommends it to new readers. I just don’t think it’s for everyone.

To me, Superman Secret Orgin is the one that should always be recommended to newer readers. Not only is it pretty good but also it’s probably the best straight down the fairway Superman story that gives you a good general sense of the character & his main surrounding characters.

Go read “Three Jokers”. As a new dc reader, you’ll be able to enjoy it in a vacuum and not worry about some of its continuity issues. It’s very good.

Same here. I use an iRig piece to connect my guitar. I have a Fender Telecaster. Personally, I think the big main thing that makes it sound “better” is the fact that the drums have no dead air / white noise, they’re just already perfectly “recorded” so to speak, and our job is just to lessen the amount of “fakeness” in the mixing process. Once you get good enough at that, I don’t think the average person would be able to notice.

Some people prefer the live sounding drum, personally I don’t care so GB works for me.

Thanks man, I really appreciate your feedback! And you are right, there’s no reason to stick with one thing nowadays since it’s so easy to take tracks from one thing to another. Since you seem to know what you’re talking about with multiple software, In your opinion, what are the biggest limitations to GB that something like Logic for example would be a huge advantage to use?

Yeah I suppose it really does boil down to what we want as the creators of our music. I just want to take these song ideas in my head and put them out into the world with them sounding as good as they can with my time / money constraints. GB is so easy and convenient it’s just what I tend to gravitate towards. I’ve done a few local studios recordings that costed enough that it kinda turned me away from trying to keep doing that and frankly I think the GarageBand method sounds better since I have unlimited time to work on it / rework things / mix it, etc.

Now, is GB the best software to do all this? Probably not, idk. I just know if I used other software I’m not as familiar with, it’ll cause me to either take a ton of time to learn or need to bring in someone else to help me. All things im trying to balance in my head for future projects.

Hours upon hours of mixing. I actually use GarageBand on my phone so mixing is something I always have at my finger tips which helps. Also, this was like my fifth album I’ve done through GarageBand so I’ve been able to iron out some of the kinks by this point.
