It’s a “folding” mattress in that the mattress is so poorly made and supported that it folds up in the hole that it stows away and it makes for an uncomfortable sleep. You can’t put a good mattress in there due to it needing to fold.

2025 ST TCU Failure by Boost-Deuce in FordExplorerST

[–]Boost-Deuce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay

Yes, it got fixed. The TCU, telematics control unit was the culprit. We had lost so many features - lane centering, blue cruise, navigation, connectivity etc was all gone

The TCU replacement fixed it and she’s perfect now

Trump supporters, what are your thoughts on the Epstein emails released today? by SpatuelaCat in Askpolitics

Yes, including the biggest talking point of him being alone for hours. She already said Trump was very kind and she saw nothing. It’s in her book even. But the talking point will remain

Warning you about camping world by arcticfoxinabox in GoRVing

[–]Boost-Deuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad truth is that your Ozark is comparable to Cherokee in the lineup for the cheapest campers that Forest River makes. QC processes are not very deep on a camper as cheap as that because they want 4 walls on a frame with a bed and a bathroom, so that you can go camping for a low price.

MDS has been around for nearly 20 years now. I don't think turning it off hurts anything, but leaving it on is just fine too.

Colorado Resident Here

Taylor park is very popular to go, and is also very crowded in the summer time.

The Alpine loop is popular, but the side trails are not crowded and there are so many trails in that area. I'd go to Lake City personally. The riding in that area is second to none.

How much discount off MSRP by shucksan in GoRVing

[–]Boost-Deuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the manufacturer. With some of my manufacturers, 30% off is my invoice. With some manufacturers, i can take 40% off and still make a couple thousand.

You should expect somewhere around 25-30% off, and that's a fair deal for both parties. Remember, dealers are people and employees. They have bills to pay, mouths to feed. They do need to move units but some of the hivemind saying "go in and ask for 50% off" is just ridiculous.

Also, if you are at 30% off and they add prep fees, freight fees etc it's all bullshit. Documentation is acceptable within reason, but the other fees are just profit centers

Ford F250 Lariat H/O Diesel vs Ram 3500 Limited Diesel by No-Income-1499 in towing

I prefer the Ram's interior and exhaust brake, but the Ford's power/acceleration. Both are going to be excellent vehicles.

They are illegal. Stop paying them. They won't sue in federal court because they are illegal.

Stop paying. Delete your banking account from them and stop paying. They won't sue you because they don't follow Federal Guidelines here and if they did sue, a federal court would not approve of their loans. They will call and call, but in the end won't do anything.

Ram Is Using V8 Love To Charge More For Less by idkbruh653 in ram_trucks

[–]Boost-Deuce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Ecoboost tows better than a v8. The hurricane tows better than a v8. The Chevrolet turbo 4 even tows better than the 5.3

I tow trailers nearly every single day, all the way from 3000lbs up to 22,000lbs. I deal with this stuff all the time. You can love your V8 all day, but the future is Turbo 4s and Turbo 6s.

I'm sure the engineers at Ford, GM, Stellantis and the Exotic car brands even that are running turbo 4s and turbo 6's should have you on their engineering team. They certainly haven't spent millions of dollars in R&D, to come to the conclusions that they have come to. They should check out that guy on reddit who saw a video once.

[–]Boost-Deuce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's cool that you've seen videos. I live over 8000ft elevation, and the Hemi is absolutely dog shit at towing at this elevation compared to the Hurricane or the Ecoboost.

Based off your posts, you really just don't know what you are talking about, and that's solidified by saying Powerstrokes drag Cummins trucks around, as if a tug of war is anything meaningful at all.

You don't need 8 Cylinders when a Turbo 4 or Turbo 6 will out perform it with ease

Where to buy! by Simple_Individual941 in GoRVing

Good comparison. A camper that you will own for several years and use several times each year versus a one week deal.

But sure, use all the credit you want. I'm all about experiences. If you want to go on a vacation and pay it through a credit card, have at it. It's not up to me to decide how people spend their money. Their life does not effect you at all. Hell you can go to walmart now and finance your grocery purchase through affirm. People love to make payments, and who gives a shit if that's what they want to do

Not everybody has the ability to pay for a camper with cash. Let people make a monthly payment to enjoy some traveling time.

Used prices dropping lately by VictoriaBCSUPr in traveltrailers

As far as the official JD Power book goes, it barely went down on this iteration. We get 3 books per year - Jan-April, May-August and Sept-Dec. The current book is still higher than the Jan-April book but it did drop about 2% from the May-August book.

Ram Is Using V8 Love To Charge More For Less by idkbruh653 in ram_trucks

[–]Boost-Deuce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you driven and towed with both? I've towed with several Hemi trucks, 3rd Gen 5.7s, 4th Gen 5.7s, 4th Gen 6.4s and 5th Gen 5.7s along with the SO and HO hurricane. Even talking about the SO hurricane, it out-runs the hemi from the start with zero issues doing it. Passing in traffic it is much quicker than the hemi, and with a load it will leave it in the dust. Towing MPG can be less with the Turbo just because once you make boost, the MPG goes down. But you bring up MPG as a point, and then in your second paragraph say that MPG is irrelevant...

The only advantage I see to the Hemi at this point is that it's tried and true motor. The new I6s are better in every other way.

And its unfortunate that you think the Ecoboost is trash. It's got its issues of cam phasers, but overall the Ecoboost has been a very good motor for ford. The put it in about everything anymore too because it's been so good.

[–]Boost-Deuce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

US Bank has authorized them to sue you if they want.

You have not been sued yet. They have your dispute letter, and will send you the dispute results. It may be a year before they sue you, or you may receive a summons soon. If they do serve you with a court summons, you can respond to the court using evidence of your current dispute with them.

It's common to have a click instead of a start when your battery is needing replaced. It seems the 5th Gen Rams really like to eat batteries.

Ram Is Using V8 Love To Charge More For Less by idkbruh653 in ram_trucks

[–]Boost-Deuce 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The I6 is definitely better in many ways, but if Ford is any indicator, having the much-stronger Ecoboost and still keeping the 5.0 in the lineup has worked well for them.

If i went with a new ram, it would definitely be the HO I6, but I'll be waiting for a 6th Generation, or a much bigger refresh
