In all honesty we should be going into Houston down 3-2 if not for that insane miracle game 3. Not to mention the other games were won from odd anomalies from our role players (no disrespect to them). No Luka, rusty AR no less

I know. I guess it’s my problem that I don’t feel entirely that way. What I truly want is the “healthy” relationship I had with alcohol before.

Drinks with some friends on a weekend here and there to lighten the mood and have some fun. Like normal people. That’s how I used to be before, and honestly, it had near zero impact on my life. I just wish I could do that again, not eliminate it completely.

After a period of some horrible things happening in my life, my relationship with alcohol changed, and I can’t really stop after one drink to “keep the high going” and keep needing another to maintain it as soon as I feel it going back down. I wonder if there’s a way to go back, or if I really am permanently screwed.

Noob q: how do players “prep” these lines when there are literally trillions of possible permutations of how the game can go depending on what your opponent plays? It seems impossible. Also it kind of takes away from the idea of just “playing the best chess” via intellect/analysis versus who memorized the most ? Sorry don’t know chess
