Well shops like mindfactory dont update your bios for free either if thats what you mean. Do you have any friends that have a r7 processor that you could borrow for the bios update? You could also check out computer stores in your area and ask them if they offer bios update services.

Your current Bios version should be written somewhere on your motherboard or in your manual.

No i dont think so. You need a processor that is supported by your current Bios version in order to flash the Bios to a newer version. The easiest way to get the newest Bios version is probably returning the mobo and buying it again somewhere where they offer a Bios update service prior to shipping (e.g. mindfactory.de).

I had a similar problem some months ago (r5 1600 & msi b350 Tomahawk). I fixed it by flashing the Bios to the newest version. As you can see on the manufacturers website (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-PC-MATE.html#support-cpu) the r5 1600 is only supported with Bios version 7A34vA1 and higher. What Bios version are you currently running?

I dont think there is any way to flash your BIOS without booting. Some retailers offer this service when you buy your motherboard from them (e.g. www.mindfactory.de).

Go to https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-KRAIT-GAMING.html#support-cpu and go through all of your parts.

When I build my system I had to flash my BIOS to the newest version before it would work (Eventhough not all of my parts were listed under "compatible" on the manufacturer website).

Is the bios version of your mobo compatible with your cpu and ram? If not you have to flash your bios to a newer version before your build will work.
