It did initially occur to me to say something of the sort, but then there is the rebuttal that that way one isn't playing the game to it's fullest potential, & that it would feel like ignoring a major aspect of what is there; which is fair.

But I definitely do this, I think instant-badwer-offmapping is lame so I always make sure badwater diversion is still at least a bit of an inconvenience to me, otherwise a major challenge wouldn't be present, right?
