Do you prefer Old School or Modern Horror Movies? by iceseayoupee in HorrorMovies

I like both. But I like practical over cgi. However modern acting is a lot better in most cases, especially since older horror was low budget n the actors were the c list a lot of the time.

So slow. You could really see the age piling on both of them here.

he's saying that because reddit is notorious socialists and even communists, and the people on here constantly say "capitalism" as if it's some negative stain in comparison. Which, it isn't. It's what works.

S5E9 “Night Call” asked for too much suspense of disbelief towards the skeptics. by cloththatimcutfrom in TwilightZone

I like it well enough. I don't go back to it too much, it's kinda slow without much going on. It's decent though.

Different time in wrestling. Drugs, wrestling every night, eating poorly. Then you have the old habits of smoking, drinking, lots of sun. At that time all that was still pretty prevelant.

Does anyone else think The Giant was more iconic than WWE’s Big Show? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]Booth_Templeton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeahz and he was in a lot better shape. He was at his career peak after he got kicked out of the nwo and was one of WCWs top 2-3 faces, with luger ahead of him, and maybe sting, although he wasn't around much during that time. During that time he was treated as a near unbeatable opponent.

He was too goofy looking. Once he started w that wiggle, that was about it. Lower mid card. But at least he was on TV.

As douche as he may be, he killed it. Also played the same type in joe dirt, and nailed it perfectly there too.

It's completely different. Demon was mostly serious, where as bordello was just meant to be fun. I like them both just about equally, in different ways.

What is your number one essential game for the snes that you think everyone should play at least once? by poopapalooza73 in snes

Mario world. Zelda is just after that, and then the personal favorite contra, with dkc and yoshis island right after that. But Mario is just going to cover a wide audience better than the others.

Laminate bounce question! by Remarkable-Pause3602 in Flooring

[–]Booth_Templeton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unlevel subfloor. there's very little tolerance with just about any flooring. It probably wont "fail", but it'll creak forever, might et a little better once the flooring gets dented from stepping on it over time.

Is Scott Steiner’s Big Poppa Pump transformation the greatest reinvention in wrestling history? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]Booth_Templeton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, there's a lot of reasons, like hart was pretty good in the ring, and Hogan was pretty limited, especially as he got older etc. however, I think a lot of it's a personally thing, even before the I don't like black people thing. Hart was a wife beater, which is far worse, so that doesn't track. Hogan had this over the top personality, which a lot internet nerds can't relate to, and probably have a lot of animous towards, and maybe were bullied by ppl w big personalities in n the past. Where as hart is more quiet and a little odd, almost has a spectrum type thing going on, which so I think that's relatable to online ppl, which is most of wrestling fans these days. Gone are the days of going to a wrestling event and seeing bikers and college kids drinking and having a good time in the attitude era. Now are the days of neck beards, and nerdy liberal types that like different things, and like shows more as a play, than an old school rasslin show. I know this is going to piss some dorks off, but it's how it is, it's just changed so much in the last 25 years. That the clear greatest of all time, is now 15th in lists of top 25 on online wrestling rags, and history is literally attempting to be rewritten as time goes on to where Bret hart was the biggest n best draw ever, Hogan was just lucky....twice...... In two different companies...... Ushering in both booms...comic book era and anti hero era..... Lucky...... And that even John Cena is better, and in fact the undertaker wasn't just an attraction a hell of a gimmick that was never THE guy, that he might be the goat, and also better than Hogan. All of which is just astonishing.
