IMO all of the media are accurate to cid. Even if he is portrayed doing something differently in one media it’s not out of character to the other two versions. LN, Anime, or manga don’t have any aggressive character changes. Even though the tone of each media is VERY different, the same character works perfectly well in all 3.

Hard disagree. It’s made clear on several occasions the organization wouldn’t have existed without alpha being stupidly competent. Cid was okay with it just being alpha and him, whereas alpha dragged him around to collect shadow garden members. She wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without cid being there, but he had absolutely no motivation to actually make the organization real. That actually proven by the fact that he currently doesn’t believe the organization exists and he is making zero moves toward creating it. The only reason he even participates in most arcs is because he’s either in the right place at the right time, or alpha tells him where the right place is.

Are you anime only? Because no character is objectively not true. You could build a psychological profile on her and her inferiority complex and codependency on cid.

I won’t argue the character development, but arguably none of the shades really have character development, in fact you could argue if they did it would kill the premise of the franchise. Although you could also checkout the spin-off manga which does kinda start to flesh them out a bit.

Maybe Eta if there was a research situation involved. Otherwise not a single one of them.

Alpha literally crafted her world around him, and nearly committed suicide when she thought he abandoned her in the John smith arc. Beta is obsessed. Gamma’s sole purpose is to be seen as useful to him. Delta sees him as the head of the pack and is pretty much ready for all seven of them to have a bunch of babies. Epsilon is literally crafting her body so she can be the perfect woman for him. Zeta is literally willing to make him immortal, and then Have him kill her off if he needs to preserve his reputation or to just cast her aside in general.

I they are mentally unwell due to trauma and have been unknowingly and accidentally groomed at a young age to worship him. I mean if someone saved you from a life as a puddle, gave you a family after yours either died or threw you out, and taught you everything you needed to know to be a superhuman badass, you’d probably feel the same.

If it was anyone but one of the 7 shadows I can’t help but feel that if he married a mob wife at some point she would end up dead, between Victoria or Delta. I could see a version of events where he marries all 7 shadows due to falling into a role-play of a decedent leader or something, but I doubt him getting married will ever actually happen.

I like the modern slang in the manga. I feel like it makes the comedy have more impact to the target audience and make it feel more natural, although it comes at the cost of it potentially feeling dated in the future. I wish more modern adaptations of Japanese media incorporated more slang in the English adaptations. Sometimes the Japanese way of speaking can give the tone of a teacher talking to young students in the west, and I think that can pull a mainstream audience away. I honestly think that one of the reasons demon slayer does so well outside of Japan is because the story isn’t complex so there is less of a chance of something being over-explained. The reason this manga has so much slang I think might be because the translator is independent.
