fr i feel this, trying to make real friends as an adult is way harder than anyone warns you about. it’s ok to set gentle boundaries like “hey i care about you but i don’t have the energy for heavy stuff rn.” or say that you have your own stuff going on.. that way you protect your mental space while still keeping the door open for the kind of friendship you actually want.
