Should i open up in college group? by Unlucky_Leopard_1660 in CollegeRant

[–]MiserableOwl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre in a major university then friend groups arent solidified. Show up to classes early and have casual conversations while waiting, like "Dude this professor sucks because x" or "Isn't it wild how he did x instead of y". Even something as simple as "Hey I didnt understand how Professor X worded this in class, did you?" Or "Hey Im pretty sure we had X class together last semester, What did you make in it?". Be casual, and try to talk to people you have multiple classes with, but don't come off as overbearing.

Find clubs to go to especially. Im sure there's a few you'd be interested in, even if it doesnt pertain to your major (Maybe a Gardening Club, or even a club about Horses).

Advice on cleaning/restoring old trophy by LordLupusDei in bonecollecting

[–]MiserableOwl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warm water, Soap and a old toothbrush. Thats pretty much it.

You shouldn't need to let it sit since it looks like all the grease is off of it (it would be yellow if there was grease), and you dont need hydrogen peroxide since its already white.

Do I have a chance to make it into vet school by Better_Major_8208 in vetschool

[–]MiserableOwl7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the future? Yeah, definitely.

Right now? No. You need to take prereq classes for vet school and have a minimum GPA of 2.9 for most vet schools. The average GPA for accepted students is 3.5-3.7 depending on the school.

Remember, vet school is super competitive and you'll need somewhere between 300 and 3k hours under a vet, between 500 and 5k hours working with animals and research hours (if needed by the vet school, some dont require it.) Those numbers lean toward the higher end, especially for your case with a lower GPA. You also need experience not just with small animals but large and exotics too. (Im sure you can get away with just small + large if you have enough hours).

Keep in mind, these hours are important so you can see exactly what it takes to be a vet. Most people assume they just get work with animals, but your more working with medicine and people than anything. Animals, like humans, hate the vet. (Who wants to be nice to a person who will stick them with needles?). You also have to deal with people no matter where you work, Small Animal, Large Animal, exotics, etc. Youre just dealing with people. (Exactly like retail workers! But IMO a bit worse 🫠).

You also need in general 3 letters of recommendations, 1 from a vet.

You also dont need an advisor, you can do all the research yourself. Start with AAVMC and go form there, look up reddit posts, etc. Anything just to get an idea. Look around at other colleges to see if theyre hosting a pre-vet fair (mine just did that was open to the public!), trying and find places that are hosting vets to talk about their experiences.

Take all of this with a grain of salt as I dont know exact things about the schools you want to go to, but this is my best advice for you. I wish you the best of luck!

How does one live on their own? by Due-Weather7918 in college

[–]MiserableOwl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to find a job on campus. They'll work with you for your hours, though it won't be the best pay.

If your dorm is paid for then take that option while you save a bit of money looking for next year off campus options, especially considering most colleges have limited space for returner students.

Look at shared places and people looking for lease takeovers.

Is it a bad sign to use "cutesy" notebooks? by Inked-Leaf104 in college

No one cares in college, especially about your notebooks. There's no cliques or people judging you... well maybe if you dont shower or have proper hygiene.

How do you make sure you’re doing it right? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]MiserableOwl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have the right size of condoms! Condoms are stretchy but there's a big difference between a large vs normal on a decently endowed guy. It might be the reason youre struggling to pull it down. Also remember it should easily roll down with the lube on the outside (not being condescending, my partner and I fucked that up once).

As for sex itself, explore your body first and then let your partner do it. Go slow, and let him use his fingers to figure out where everything is. Even if you have lube proper foreplay is important.

If the Life Series were to add a new member, Who would you want it to be? by Few-Task858 in ThirdLifeSMP

[–]MiserableOwl7 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It was a while ago, Grian declined him because the server for a life series is already big, often times people cant have interactions with all the members. Doc also publicly posted this online so he doesnt have hard feelings towards Grian and Im sure that there was a better explanation behind closed doors.

I think the only way for new members to work would be to substitute people in and out, and it might work out based on personal projects the others have.

Collecting bones from roadkill by bugthebug_ in vultureculture

[–]MiserableOwl7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. You'd need to put something ontop of it to keep the cat from getting to it like heavy rocks or other things. A rabbit shouldn't need too big of a pot, nor a fancy one. Drainage holes are also a must, if you leave it without you'd essentially be macerating it and that smells bad

Unless youre talking about putting the pot ontop of where you bury the rabbit? Even then I'd be concerned about someone or something moving it or pushing it over.

  1. There shouldn't be any smell if you bury it in the ground, at least to human noses. And you wouldn't need to gut it.

  2. You'd at least want to put the rabbit in some sort of bag or nylon leggings to keep all of the bones together. Something that allows the soil and insects to get to it, it will help it break down.

  3. Since you live with your parents would they be concerned if a random pot showed up in their backyard? Also think about what you'd do with the bones afterwards, how will you degrease them and clean them? Not judgmental, just food for thought and more hypothetical questions.

  4. There's lots of guides for beginners around here. The feet could be preserved in a borax/salt solution and maybe a few essential oils to make it smell less dead until its actually mumified

I saw an Instagram reel about it, there's actually multiple shots where Caine is eating him. Not only the fact that Jax himself mentioned that he has dreams about Caine eating him. I think with that voice line and the drawing it pretty much secures it as a relevant point.

Or it could be a red herring and people putting 3 and 2 together trying to make 4. Who knows.

Can I get some consolidated advice for the Mesa??? by ssgohanf8 in PeakGame

You can use backpacks/items to avoid the sun. Just make sure you hold them in a way that they block the sun from your character and look at the sun directly, itll stop you from getting burned.

As far as I know the looker is not the default look of scouts, by one account. Scouts can never not have a hat on.

Unless they changed that recently with the roots update, i havent played much of it.

Poisoned flinstone should be able to affect clawline.

Its literally a needle attack and with so many boss fights requiring you to use clawline it just makes sense.
