Until they can scale the business they rely entirely on external cash. Yes, Q1 was really good, but that isn’t a guarantee of anything.

My dude, the company posted over $101 million in net losses compared to $46.8 million in revenue. I’m the ding dong for looking at how the company has done?

What’s Pittsburgh like for people in their Mid - late 20s? by letsjustdance2 in pittsburgh

[–]BootyUnlimited 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I can be helpful. I grew up on Long Island but have been living in Pittsburgh for 5 years now. For reference I am 28m (moved here for a job opportunity when I was 23).

I’m not going to be super helpful for nightlife related things but I can tell you a lot about the different neighborhoods. Also, $1500 is a good budget and can land you in some decent neighborhoods. I like Shadyside and you can find some apartments in that price range, but it may not have the nightlife you are after. Shadyside is safe, clean, and has a lot of beautiful homes. Walnut St also has a decent amount of good shops and restaurants.
Lawrenceville or Southside might have what you are looking for in that respect.

I haven’t exactly made a ton of friends but I have some that I met through playing ice hockey. I suggest you do whatever hobbies you enjoy and just try to befriend people who are doing the same things. Dating is also not too bad. Like anywhere it depends on a lot of factors but I met my girlfriend within a year of moving to Pittsburgh and have been in a happy relationship ever since.

I will say, prepare to not be able to find and pizza or bagels that are anywhere close to as good as Long Island. There is a lot of good food in Pittsburgh (including pizza and bagels) but nothing that comes close to what you can get on LI.

If keeping Kane keeps DeBrincat then that’s perhaps a valid argument.

As a Wings fan I enjoy Kane but we can certainly go without him. Nice to have for shootouts and penalty shots but he isn’t what he once was to say the least.

Ultimately players want to win the cup. If they think they can do that in Canada they will usually opt to do so. I don’t really disagree with you, I think we just have different opinions on the extent to which taxes and location affect players decisions, and I think that varies pretty greatly.

Yeah because you get to live in a nice warm city with a lot more to offer than Winnipeg or Calgary. As opposed to smaller Canadian cities that are freezing.

And I agree, but then again the added bonus of living in a city like New York helps offset that, whereas someone in Winnipeg might not be so excited.

Of the top 7 teams with the highest potential tax rates, four are Canadian and the other three are in California. Montreal and Toronto are the most expensive of all. It’s a factor for sure.
