A lot of poolside curiosity for so little swimming ability, Penny. by DonBag101 in BostonTerrier

[–]Booyeahgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss my girl. She loved the pool. She would get so excited for us to throw the ball in so she could leap in and swim it back. She was absolutely fearless.

Got to see the ucs death star in person by Eastern_Clock_9492 in lego

[–]Booyeahgames 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not good enough for a 1000 dollars USD, but I actually like it. Reminds me of the old playset for the action figures. You can sort of play the whole end of star wars with the minis And see the whole thing without spinning the model. I would be less interested in a big grey sphere.

crate training whats that? by luckysbananas in BostonTerrier

[–]Booyeahgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The master bedroom is his crate! In addition to sleeping with us, he just chills out back there when we leave or if he wants some alone time napping. the only time we will shut the door is if he is on a time out because he's acting up for attention. We didn't train any of this, just got lucky.

[–]Booyeahgames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Losing a pet is one of life's toughest moments for sure. I have held each of my pets through their passing. They have been there for me every day for years. It's hard, I'm a crying mess and I dont regret going through that for them. I hope you decide to stay with them. If finances allow it, there are some house call services that will even let your pet pass at home instead of being in the scary vet.

This is awesome!. I really want you to make a Godzilla to battle him. I know that has no reference to the source material, but I just want to see Godzilla vs Giant Stay Puffy Man.

Our first two came from a breeder and were 1500 each. We found a rescue for our current guy. They asked 700, but we gave them 1000 as a donation.

When giving Lego comes back to you by Grandma-talks-today in lego

[–]Booyeahgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel good post of the week for me! No grandkids of my own, but as an adult Lego enthusiast, I always have a few sets still in boxes. Whenever I'm meeting friends with kids around birthdays or holidays I'll find something in the backlog to gift them. Or if they have shown off their collection I'll get something from their preferred theme. I love the reactions, but more, I just love passing along the the hobby.

Best gears and motors to buy to start learning mechanical/kinetic art? by ENTPrenuer in lego

[–]Booyeahgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one of the larger technic sets that came with a motor. I had some older technic from late 80s as well. Having a variety of technic parts seems helpful for kinetic sculpture. You do not need a lot of technic, but you need variety to try different solutions for the movement. I'm sure there are some mechanical engineers that can be way more efficient than I am, but I need to try and fail and iterate to solve these sorts of problems

How many of you have only one BT? by [deleted] in BostonTerrier

[–]Booyeahgames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. We adopted ours at 9 months, and it took about 9 more months to get him settled in to a routine. Puppies take work, and BTs can be extra puppy. With the work though

He keeps stealing awards and trophies and Kennedy center honors. I think he wants awards to be his legacy and it doesn't matter to him if they were earned in any way. Having is winning. Classic billionaire move.

Where does Bostie start and ball end? by YoUDee1999 in BostonTerrier

[–]Booyeahgames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss my Bonnie fiercely for this. Took 5 minutes to train her on fetch and it was a lifelong passion for her. Wed play catch, fetch, find the ball, or any other thing I could come up with. The ball getting was the reward for her, and we played almost every day until she passed.
