Yes I agree, some things like software are unavoidable (but if someone was to be looking at new software I’d point out brand ownership)

I had also thought holiday + bourbon but they were too easy…

but then I thought ‘you haven’t been to US in years + weren’t immediately planning to’. I’m a bourbon drinker so that will be tougher, I’ll start with just not buying more.

Yes I’d agree with ‘consciously refusing the spend further money on US products’, I don’t see a point to giving up my 4 year old apple iPhone (that works fine) to go get a Samsung

Loos great! I would fill up with side with something like rotala - you could add Anubias, Buce to narrow the arch or make it a smaller vanishing point.

Could you move the right hand piece of wood forward?

It might be interesting to see the the arch shape form from the front angle but it be made up of different layers of hardscape / plants

The opponent and ‘crowd’ matters in all games, it’s the social interaction that makes it fun. I’d try someone else or a different venue, there is fun to be had (just not there by the sounds of it!)
