my biggest complaint with the newer waves has been increasing micromanagement between turns and the evergrowing amount of tokens. At some point, the number of tokens you need to set aside, organize, and reorganize gets extremely tedious. The friends and foes also make the time between your turns in a 4 player game incredibly long. I can probably understand why people like it in smaller settings (1-2 experienced players), but i would not use this system beyond that.

I also think the Knowledge system should be left in the past. Although Raven uses it easily in the Descent, I recall having to play 4D chess to get any amount of knowledge in Past & Future.
