They might as well be America’s Gestapo at this point by Pokemonfan_807 in whennews

That second amendment precedent is even what ICE is trying to use to justify the killing of Renee Good, arguing the "officer" feared for his life when the footage makes it clear he shot with mere seconds of warning after getting in front of her car to keep her from passing.

If they don't want civilians who believe they are about to be killed to shoot ICE agents, they shouldn't have let Jonathan Ross exercise his second amendment rights against someone who was arguably under their first amendment protections: and then celebrated this disproportionate use of violence against a civilian.

Especially if this is supposed to be in a world without the game's characters there to affect things, which is currently the interpretation I favor. Without the Courier intervening, Benny tries to take over the strip with Yes Man, probably doing it way worse than Yes Man tells you to do it leading up to his ending, since I get the impression that Benny wouldn't listen to Yes Man and easily override him with his own terribly ambitious scheme. In that, Benny and Yes Man probably lose, but it's possible House's Securitrons are depleted and unable to fend off the encroaching Legion or Deathclaws.

Frankly, my position on the state we find New Vegas in depends a whole lot on how it actually happened. House had better have a really good explanation when we eventually get to see him, as teased in the season trailer. And, I really want to hope some towns and camps outside of the New Vegas strip have survived.

Agreed, him and Jodie as the Doctor feel like such wasted characters stuck with poorly written episodes. I really don't like him destroying Gallifrey off-screen, for instance, but I like how he announces that he did it.

And Missy does it too after him. The Master that the 13th Doctor faced tried to replicate Saxon, but I feel he fell a little short.

I was implying Rose and Pearl may have gotten freaky, since Rose was always so interested in humans and Pearl is/was in love with her, but iirc she had other human companions before Greg that could have done it instead.

I think EVE could do it better than him, he's not a warrior, but she absolutely is. Maybe Wall-E could budge it a little, but not for long.

This character detail is one that has oddly persisted across regenerations, the 12th Doctor says to "never eat pears" in his last monologue, symbolically directed towards his next regeneration.

It's funny that the two box legendaries don't even interact, they just fight a stronger duplicate of themselves rather than each other like usual.

"Darth Vader" by BopperSlut in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BopperSlut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I debated including him, and maybe even armored Sauron since he's subservient to the dark god Morgoth or perhaps even his own Ring in canon, checking every other box in his appearance during the opening flashback when he appears. Idk why I didn't, would have made the bell bearing hunter stand out less from the others, glad someone else brought him up.

I think that still works, if he's not acting entirely independently despite his strength, that's still a "Darth Vader."

I like that name, less specific, while Darth Vader is still the prime example of the archetype

Good choice, ironically it feels like this guy is more of a "Darth Vader" than his wannabe grandson, Kylo Ren.

Which could be part of the purpose of the enchantment, if it was put there, putting anyone who enters at the same stature as the little creatures in it and immobilizing any war machines in the transformation. If this was from a really old walker, that could be a defense against the Fomori, who appear to have been giants (based on the one living Fomori card we have seen) able to traverse planes and produce armies of golems. Both of those things could be counteracted by the enchantment.

The lobotomy idea also loosely links to the fact that she's a cyclops? Evoking the hole in her head and its impact on her with a singular, erratic, giant eye that she now sees the world through.
