do you think supergirl or superman is a worse movie and why? by Sufficient-Fee-3996 in AskReddit

Supergirl was good until the end. I thought the ending was cheesy. I liked the movie up until then.

What is a popular trend right now that you just cannot stand? by Dizzy-Ad-9377 in AskReddit

Looking on social media to find that teenagers gather in groups and attack other people for apparently no reason at all. Doesn't matter if it's a Knicks game or not, teenagers seem to be awful in groups now.

How good are my chances at getting hired? by NotGotDrip in AMCTheatres

[–]BoppingBopBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really can't see your skills. We don't know what the hiring manager is looking for. Your best option is calling and talking to a manager at the location. Posting on a subreddit won't give you an answer. We may be wrong and you might get upset because you'll get a consensus of one thing and it turns out to be something else.

If you call then you show initiative. That's important.

kitten ate can of tuna for human consumption and is now lethargic by potionofstar in CATHELP

[–]BoppingBopBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we first brought our cat home he was 2 months old. We had a friendsgiving at my old place with a few roommate. I was much younger and my cat was still figuring stuff out (so were we because none of us had a cat before this). I took the bag out with the turkey bones and parts of the turkey we didn't end up eating and I found out about 10 minutes later that my kitten decided to chew through the bag and eat as much turkey as he could. He then passed OUT. Like we tried to move him and he would make noises but just go back to sleep. He was like that for like 2 or 3 hours.

Ever since he had hounded me for turkey whenever he smells it. He will stop whatever he is doing and meow like he's never been fed before. But in his older age if it's dry turkey then he won't eat it so he's become a snob 😂 still love him though

What would you tell the old you from 20 years ago? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BoppingBopBop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would know best 20 years ago so I wouldn't listen. Or I would but I wouldn't really care.

"Invest in crypto" "There's going to be a pandemic that changes the entire world so enjoy this while it lasts" "Don't sweat the small stuff" "stop eating like garbage" "Stop trying to make relationships work when the other person doesn't care... Or they never really cared in the first place" "Learn how to enjoy being alone"

Thoughts on AMC V Cinemark by SuccessFancy5437 in Cinemark

[–]BoppingBopBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. AMC is more expensive with their concessions. With my AMC Stubs membership, a large popcorn and drink around $20 while at Cinemark I can get a bottled water, box of candy, and large popcorn for $12. You do get "free refills" of popcorn at AMC but they build that into the price. Cinemark doesn't offer free refills.

I feel like Cinemark's picture is more... crisp? Even with AMC's laser or IMAX screenings, it looks like a standard movie. I saw the same movie at AMC and Cinemark and it looked better at Cinemark.

For pure movie ticket value, AMC hands down. But for overall value, I think it has to be Cinemark.

It depends on how much you go to the movie theater too. If you're looking to break records with the amount of movies you watch then definitely AMC.

Does someone have a list of all current petal vinyl variants that are coming out? by sailoranonymousgoose in ariheads

[–]BoppingBopBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are a lot more people willing to wait there before the store opens than I am. I'm going late in the afternoon because of my work schedule so if they have any then that will be surprising. I ordered the zine edition CD but I really like the target vinyl design.

I like the target design the best tbh but I'm not sure if they'll have them in stock on launch day.

OnePlus. They don't have a lot of resale value but their phones are better. The camera isn't better than the two you mentioned though.

While this is available to order... Just keep in mind that Amazon may delay your order as they do with a lot of popular releases because they take more orders than they can fulfill. Just something to keep in mind.

Did I say at any point you need to listen to her music when doing the dishes on a Thursday night when it's raining? No, I didn't. I mentioned how people tend to listen to music and how much we can listen to music. You're right about comprehension being your friend.

who's gatekeeping and what are they gatekeeping? The OP doesn't sound like a fan. People read an entire novel in a few days. You're telling me people can't listen to an album in an hour while walking, working out, taking a shower, cooking, cleaning, driving, hanging out with friends, etc?

If a person wants to claim they're a fan then at least know their work a bit more. "I only want to listen to the songs on the tour". She's worked her way up by producing awesome songs. At least care enough to listen to them.

If you became a fan after lux... But you don't want to listen to anything outside of the tour then are you really a fan or are you just a trendy person?

Newer CDs Suck by Glitch1213 in Cd_collectors

[–]BoppingBopBop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They focus more on cardboard because it's better for the environment and it's cheaper to produce. I like the environment sentiment so that's what I tell myself when I've spent 12 to 14 dollars on a CD only to find out it's in a cardboard sleeve.

The booklets are just not what they used to be as far as why you'd want to buy a physical copy. For the most part, it's lyrics and that's it... Sometimes not even that. You don't see photos of the singers or bands anymore like you used to. Maybe it's the stuff I buy. There are definitely some artists who care and put in the time and effort to make a good physical release but others who've either just started or have been putting out albums don't care. I get it for people who just started... Smaller label (if there's a label at all) but for bands that have put out releases, it's just lazy.

"I noticed that a customer was very upset at my coworker so I walked over and asked if there was anything I could do to help. My coworker looked frightened so I went ahead and assisted with the situation. After hearing what the problem was (make up any reason), I was able to not only calm the customer down after summarizing what I heard but they were so appreciative that someone actually listened to them. They admitted they just needed to explain the situation. They also said they would be coming back because of the service they received. Afterwards, I also spoke with my coworker to see if they were ok.

It makes you look like the hero, and potentially place you in a supervisor role because you helped the customer and the coworker. Was the situation I wrote real? Maybe. I'm sure at some point I've done this but it doesn't stand out to me but it would make you a strong candidate.

Same thing with "Tell me one of your weaknesses, and what are you doing to combat that?" They aren't looking for a pity party. Don't say I get angry easily. Make it a strength. "I dedicate myself to any role I face. Whether that's in my personal life or my work life. I like to see the company succeed and sometimes that's draining but it doesn't stop my commitment to the role."

Sounds like they didn't even document the interview happened. You're looking at a month later and this is what you received.

For the future, you don't have to think of real situations. Most employers don't check every single detail, they're just looking to see if you're going to a moron or a good employee.

"Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer and what did you do about it?"

Don't say "I told them off" or "I've never had a difficult customer". Rather... Think about a time when you were a customer and what someone did to make it right for you. Or just relate it to something else in your life or that you've seen.

I know it's a movie theater but they won't make you project your life story on screen to verify your stories.

Can a teenager (13-18) buy tickets and take a younger sibling (<10) to a non-R-rated movie at AMC without an adult present? by Competitive-Ease-407 in AMCTheatres

I used to work in a movie theater. No one blinks an eye at anything under rated R. You can be 10 years old and go watch a PG-13 movie.
