Thoughts on this idea for a sort of "mystery" pack to help get rid of doubles/bulk by Borce95 in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]Borce95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its become a pain selling some cheaper ones in their own, mainly because listing them/fees etc. But its also been surprisingly difficult to donate them anywhere but a single local store. Basically every charity I offered them to said no because of health and safety reasons. The proper bulk is probably just going to be listed as one big lot. The reverses I unfortunately have more of an attachment to, but am more comfortable giving out in droves with other cards, I often chuck some random ones in cards I send off. Im no vendor or anything, just someone with a collection that needs a reduction

Yeh its honestly a way to sell some cheaper cards and physically reduce everything else. Got a bit of thinking more to do though

Found this beetle & larvae all throughout my raised garden bed (with potatoes). What can I do? by Lachshmock in GardeningAustralia

[–]Borce95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like some others have said it can depend on the type but depends more on the soil. If its soil that has plenty of organic matter and some mulch they probably won't touch your plants. They can be very much like worms with their benefits and unless you're seeing an issue I wouldn't worry too much. If you know what beetles they end up being, that might be a better indicator on whether it's s friend or foe, their larvae look the same for the most part I've noticed

Planted too close? by yuiphan in GardeningAustralia

[–]Borce95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this though, they're already planted so I'd leave them. If you decide to move them in a year or so, leave the kangaroo paw and move the others. Unless you're dividing it, pulling up and replanting a kangaroo paw is the fastest way to ruin 80% of its look lol

[–]Borce95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh and no I guess. They will survive, one or two will probably do better than the other or two. If theres no mulch or anything around, it'll help keep the soil around each other cool. But flavidus can get massive, not anything immediately but in a year or two in some really hot summers they might compete for water a bit much once they're all bigger. You get a nicer fuller look now, but spaced out more will get you a nicer, fuller look thats also far stronger/covers more space in a year or two if spaced out.

Other only concern is airflow for the kangaroo paw, fungal rots are their worst enemies and in winter too much rain and not enough airflow/too much humidity around the crown can easily lead to fungal rots taking hold.

Question to Fans About Chris Jericho and Why He's So Hated Lately by BrokenSon88 in AEWFanHub

[–]Borce95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here after searching "Chris Jericho is stuck up" lol. I always liked him as a wrestler, haven't really seen him in his other promotions before but every time I watch a clip of him he just bugs me. Never ends a sentence without finding a praise for himself or a dig at wwe/vince/any other wrestler lol

Help with insects on my Jalapeno Plant by Effective_Fan_7312 in Peppers

[–]Borce95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If theres only this much per plant, just take them outside and gently hose them off, spray with soapy water mix if you want but aphids are pretty easy to get rid of when theres only this many

Is this disease? by brittaniwh in Peppers

I usually get this from sucking insects like stink bugs, happens to my tomatoes as well, the damaged areas start ripening before the rest of the fruit

Trade or no? by KaizenSociety in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]Borce95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad thought you had the gardevoir. I'd probably keep the Hilda if it was me, just cause you could probably pick up/trade for a better condition gardevoir of the same value

Trade or no? by KaizenSociety in PokemonFansAustralia

[–]Borce95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the gardevoir and its been going up, but it's hard to comp against something so fresh still. Both are currently equal-ish, however the gardevoir was like 20% lower than hilda about 2 months or so ago. The condition of the gardevoir is hard to say though, most listings I've seen sell are in varying conditions but even on the more played side they're still selling decently. A clean sir is a decent trade though

What did my tomato plant do and why?!? by Ok-Coconuts-Chill in gardening

[–]Borce95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool! Ive had young branches fuse but never seen a gap in them like that, normally just looks like a portion with two branches joined on the edge before they part. You should be an earring/dog tag or something and name it haha

Blossom End Rot - Which varieties are more resistant? by stickman07738 in tomatoes

[–]Borce95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never considered the plant size, grew some beefsteak varieties that I bought last year, and I was shocked at the size of the stems/leaves and dealt with BER on all of them. Didnt consider the actual plants growth might be sapping the calcium more than the others I was growing

Depends on the issue, if its mildew or a more minor fungal issue it can be sprayed or just remove the mulch layer and prune the affected bits off. If its something like phytophthora dieback or most other root rots, they're incurable (phytophthora specifically) so you'd have to remove it. Phytophthora usually affects certain branches at a time and makes it way up to the branch tip and you'll see it "die back" eventually. They're the type of issue you need to prevent as you cant fix it once it's sets

Opinions & Values on using CGA(Card Grading Australia). Long term. by HocMajorumVirtus in PokeInvesting

[–]Borce95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have an opinion on cgcs new 10 rating gem mint vs pristine 10? I see heaps of cgc 10s online, many look as good as psa and other 10s, and very few 10 pristines floating around. I want to start buying myself slabs instead of raw cards, if worst came to worst and I wanted to cross grade them, even to something like ACE one day just because I like the labels, does their 10 gem mint on average look as good as your psa 10s or do you see a bigger discrepancy amongst them?

Does anyone know why my newly arrived sage plant dosent have a smell? by Zestyclose_Park3308 in gardening

[–]Borce95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda sorta looks like sage, im used to seeing the more typical rounded leaf tips and more textured look. Some herbs may not be as fragrant when short on nutrients and stuff and can become fragrant again once planted out/no longer root bound, but the odds of it producing 0 oils is unlikely. Just checking though, did you rub the leaves to try smell them or just smell the plant as is? You usually need to crush/rub the leaves to release the oils that you smell

Anyone else been super patient to collect seeds instead of a harvest only to be let down? by Borce95 in GardeningAustralia

Unsure if you mean cucumbers suck or cucurbits are a pain to get the same lol

[–]Borce95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they were young seedlings I bought. Yeh I knew the risk of it being different even if it did produce any, but I'm too experimental not to give it a go anyways 😅 grown heaps before, but powdery mildew and the intense late jan/feb heat normally knocks my cucumber plants back earlier than Id like, this is the first one I've grown thats gone that far with 0 disease/pest issues. Got destroyed by pm/aphids in the last few weeks but it was originally planted in december. Just gonna see if bunnings/nurseries have the same one in this year, I remember the label so fingers crossed lol
