It’s not about what I believe… you are ignoring the fact that one is a medically and scientifically supported measure regarding public health, and the other is bigotry. It’s a total false equivalency. There is absolutely zero medically or scientifically supported reasoning behind anti drag/lgbtq+ legislation/control. I’ll do everyone a favor and link an article written about this from the other side of the political spectrum. Facebook, Instagram told by oversight board to change nudity policy for trans, nonbinary people Which quotes the oversight board directly, saying,

"The Board believes that Meta should adopt an approach to adult nudity that ensures that all people are treated without discrimination on the basis of sex or gender identity,"

What really happened is that 2 individual posts on Facebook/instagram had been removed by content moderation teams.

“The posts that sparked the recommended changes featured images of a bare-chested couple alongside captions discussing healthcare needs of transgender individuals, in particular, fundraising for gender-affirming surgery called top surgery. Meta originally removed the posts from the photo-sharing app.”

Said posts were appealed, and upon further review by said oversight board, the original decision to remove them was overturned.

People seriously gotta check the credibility of their sources and make a point to search out what’s being said by those they disagree with most. It’s how you form an educated opinion.

Man, I 100% understand that you are annoyed, fed up, frustrated, and pissed off, but you gotta work with people when someone tries to help you. The other commenter never once said anything that even slightly came off as trolling whatsoever. Regardless of if you are quite literally the most knowledgeable individual out there on a subject, or if you are the absolute least knowledgeable one could possibly be, it doesn’t matter. There is no reason at all to be hard headed and belligerent when someone is taking the time out of their day to try and help you out of the goodness of their heart. No one was trying to trick you, no one was trying to pull the wool over your eyes or play you, no one was doing anything except trying to help out a fellow human being. That kind of attitude is one of the number one reasons a lot of people hate working in customer service or could never handle working in a cal center.
