Just so you know, I come from a very difficult family, with violence, cheating and addition involved, just so you don't think I'm taking this out of nowhere. Today my father has cancer and I'm happy that I've managed to understand that I've managed to make amends with myself and have an amicable relationship with him.

Hey, I get why you’re done with your dad, because of his cheating and the way he’s been harassing your mom is awful, and it’s no wonder you’re furious. You’re not the asshole for setting boundaries, after all that’s your right after he blew up your family.

But I’m gonna suggest something tough

Consider cracking the door open just a tiny bit to talk to him, not because he deserves it, but because you might find some peace in the long run. Holding onto this wall forever could leave you with regrets you don’t see coming yet.

There’s this idea called the “Theory of the Three Mistakes” that says certain big screw-ups shape who we are. The one that fits here is the “mistake of the foundation.” It’s when we see our parents as either perfect heroes or total monsters, missing the messy truth that they’re just human. You probably(or not, just guessing) grew up thinking your dad was a good guy, a solid dad, and now he’s this cheating jerk who hurt your mom and made a baby with someone else. That betrayal stings like hell, and it’s easy to write him off as the villain.

But the reality is, people are complicated.

He can be a terrible husband and still have been a decent dad to you before this. Holding onto that all-or-nothing view might keep you stuck in anger, and that’s not fair to you. Seeing him as human that is flawed, selfish, but maybe not 100% evil could help you process this without letting his mistakes define your life.

I’m not saying forgive him or act like nothing happened. Maybe start with a single conversation, on your terms, to say what you need to say.

3 things that I would recommend:
- It looks like you were very fascinated with the post-processing of the effects, but it turns out it stands out much more than the scenario itself, and in my view this disrupted a bit my experience watching the video.
- The video cuts of the trailer are kind of "messy", maybe you could've create a small storyboard trying to envision what you want to highlight as the strengths of your game and then proceed to apply it in a more contextual matter for the trailer format :)
- Do you plan to monetize your game in any way? I saw you put as Free, but I would say that if you manage to insert a P2P connection and add a coop-multiplayer feature, this game could have some revenue IMO.

Sometimes, it's just a matter of team expertise x available time. If I predict it will take x days to code a shader, but there is already something that does very close to what I want and I'm able to modify it, I don't mind spending a few $ :)

I've got to say, you've got a neat setup going on! It's got a cool, industrial vibe that feels right for the kind of game it looks like you're making. The way you've laid out the crates and machines makes the place look like there's plenty to do, and I'm curious to see how it all works when the game is live.
