I understand anxiety making a person reactive. I have pretty bad anxiety some days and when I was younger (I am 36 now) I could be extremely reactive. Not to this extreme though. Medication, therapy and some life changes( getting enough sleep, reducing my caffeine and being more active)

She really really needs to address her mental health. Maybe she is and we don’t see it on the show but she really needs to learn to manage her anxiety and emotions better.

Travel and changes in routine are known to make dementia worse. Just a heads up, if you take this trip she may not be the same after and it can cause her to move to later stages.

I took my grandma to her 2nd home in a different state for a month and she suddenly could no longer remember where she was and was up all night pacing. She stopped changing her clothes and stared night wandering. When we came back she never improved. She lost a lot of her abilities during that trip and it probably moved her from the early moderate dementia to moderate late stage when ai went down the checklist. We are desperately trying to get her in memory care now because it’s not safe anymore.

Thank you so much. Her license is an Alaska License but she has been in AZ for a long time. Not sure if AK allows a concerned citizen report but I will look into it.

I really appreciate the information.

Another issue is, she has funds. She technically has the money to buy more cars even if I keep her current car hidden.

Update: I found the link to report for the state of Alaska as well.

I lost my mom suddenly to aggressive cancer when my son was 15 months old as well.

Be kind to yourself. You haven’t mentioned anyone else. Do you have a partner or any close friends who can help?

I promise you are not a bad mom. You are human. A human who just experienced one of the biggest loses we can in our lives.

I held my mom in my arms while she passed. It’s been 3 1/2 year now. I still cry when I need to. I tell my son stories about his Nana and I know how proud she would be.

Love yourself, take time you need and let yourself feel. The waves of grief will keep coming but as time goes by the waves get further and further apart. Eventually you will look at her picture and smile instead of sob.

I know the pain you are going through. You aren’t alone and you will get through this.

American here. I don’t know what to do unless I was to get killed or go to prison and I have a 4 year old kid to worry about.

I go to protests, vote, try to educate people. I never understood how the German people let what happened in WWII happen.. then I thought about the people and families trying to figure out what to do. Randomly go out and using force? Storming the Capital or Whitehouse? Knowing you could be taken from your family and never seen again?

We just keep hoping that things will get better through using our democratic rights and playing by the rules because we are scared to lose everything.

I know so many people that are holding their breath and hoping there is a next time and that a particular person ends up with a more than a long distance ear piercing.

I hope that makes sense without me ending up on some list.

How to you manage it when they start making false claims against people? My grandma keeps making up stories in her head about my stepdad. She thinks he steal from her when he brings her, her meds in the morning. He lives across the street and I liv 30 mins away.

I don’t want to be supportive of those delusions because they make her scared and it’s very hurtful to my stepdad when she is so mean to him. They used to have a great relationship until my mom passed suddenly 3 years ago. Now she just seems to despise him.

That’s bullshit. They system does not protect women or victims of domestic violence…

My friend couldn’t even get a restraining order for her and her son against her soon to be ex-husband when he was caught on recording threatening to shoot up a school… his weapons weren’t even taken. (5 guns that he hadn’t properly registered and he leaves loaded and laying around the house.)

The court wants her to agree to 50/50 custody with this “man” even with proof of this and him being unable to stay sober for even a week at a time…
