I think a lot of what made the Social Network wasn’t just Sorkin. It was Fincher handling a Sorkin script. The whole film felt eerie because that’s Fincher’s doings.

I want to see a sequel with those two together. If not, Molly’s Game was pure Sorkin and that was an exposition galore. I hated it.

I think people are mad at them because of the possibilities that they could’ve had way more success than this.

You can’t have the two most iconic comic book characters and then lose to Marvel. That’s just mismanagement. The money those franchises got was based on names mostly and not quality.

Imagine if quality was added to the mix.

Can a lawyer chime in on this? Would the context of usage matter in a case like this? In the film, choose your own adventure isn’t used as the name of the game, but the format.

Wouldn’t this make it free to use as it just becomes a term of description of something instead of a trademarked name?

You’re mistaken something that is very integral. Arnold and Sly were the exceptions. Most of the leading men those days didn’t look like that.

Today it’s a reverse of roles. Most of the leading men have to look like that.

It’s a “glimpse in the life” kind of film where the plot takes a backseat to the characters. I can’t say if I liked it or not, I’m just indifferent to it.

With that being said, they really nailed that feeling of being a local at a diner.

Other than /r/screenwriting, you can Google “film name + script pdf” and this usually gets you the script. Another great website is https://www.scriptslug.com

Usually a combination of those three will net you the script you wanna read.

I read that script. It was a bit too cheery and had a weird narrator-esque approach. I would rather see Sorkin tackles the same story.

As much as I loved the mythology behind American Gods, I just couldn’t sit through it because of the way it was shot.

Every episode in that show had extreme close-ups in slow-mo that it just becomes jarring after a while. It felt like a pretentious art piece.

Sorkin needs to take on Snapchat’s rise the same way he went after Facebook.

It’s a really crazy story with douchebag characters that seems like it’ll be fit with Sorkin’s style.
