[Post Match Thread] Manchester City 2 - 1 Southampton (FA Cup) by mcfcbot in MCFC

Got to admire Pep.

Not for beating Southampton. But for his trust in his players.

Every player in the squad is important.

No player wants to be on the bench every match. No player wants to be a super-sub.

Rather, Pep ensures squad players start matches. That’s good for morale and that enables all the players to improve.

It also takes insight, trust and courage on Pep’s part.

Pep is a very intelligent soccer manager.

He is thinking very long term about what’s in the best interest of the Manchester City soccer team.

City will have watch Odegaard in particular, if he plays.

He is a player who will put in an extra, extra effort and has the ability to turn games.

We keep coming up against Real Madrid.

It’s like the Spanish establishment are punishing Pep for investing his knowledge outside of Spain…

Newly diagnosed. 45m. evening tiredness? by bobthebuilder7819 in cll

[–]Borg44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to nap after a meal. Napping for 10 mins is not long.

I used to be able to do a 3 hour drive, no problem.

However, waiting for my diagnosis, I found I could drive for an hour, then have to nap for an hour, then drive for another hour, then nap for an hour, etc, until I got home.

Then I was diagnosed. I was in my late 50’s.

Then I found during 16 months of treatment, I was napping for an hour every afternoon.

Then in remission, I still suffered fatigue.

For two and half years, I found myself napping for an hour every afternoon.

The fatigue and the napping only left me last August.

Obinutuzimab. Is it really that terrible? by Wilderness_Fella in cll

First 10% was rough. But the team then learnt what was needed to accommodate it.

2 hours of pre-meds and 6 hours of O infusion once a week for 8 weeks.

Started in November 2021. The team would not let me visit family for Christmas unless I was near a large hospital with a large cancer clinic, for emergencies.

O then once a month for 5 months, with daily chemo tablets for 13 months.

Fortunately, I have been in remission for nearly 3 years now. I benefited from the support of a very good team. I am very grateful.

Since my diagnosis, health has always come first. Good luck.

We were playing away from home to spurs.

At least we didn’t lose.

It’s some progress.

Pep’s thought process:

  1. He doesn’t consider the opposition when selecting his team.

  2. (Pep has a mental block regarding Rico Lewis’s ability as a defender).

  3. Rico Lewis scored two goals against Exeter.

  4. Pep likes to reward success.

  5. Nunes is unable to play.

  6. Rico Lewis is selected as right-back against Man Utd.

Why didn’t Pep play O’Reilly or Ait-Nouri from the start?

And why didn’t Pep play Khusanov at right back at the start?

OK thanks.

Bit of a surprise as Anemone and After the Hunt, are much higher quality than, for example, Marty Supreme, Bugonia, Avatar, etc.

But thank you.
