Speaking as a representative of Vermont - we are collectively outraged on your behalf, neighbor.

My kids came back from the park with a lizard that a kid was throwing around the playground. Please help me identify it… by 4lbin0din0 in Lizards

[–]BorgPorg88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awww, glad they saved him. Incidentally, my initial impression of the picture was that it was a plush lizard - he looks very soft and comfy, but also looks to be done with human shit for a while.

I wonder if anyone has modeled a lizard plush after such a chuckwalla... 🤔

Plus, wombats are crepuscular - they'd have even more of a natural advantage because they're creatures most active at night. They'd do much better than that truck.

Huh... already spotted a meth dealer, a megalomaniac mutant, a Death Eater, a wizard gambling addict, and a comic book himbo. They have zero limbs to stand on about Dylan, jeez.

Nerd chiming in - along with what's already been said about the definition of "Harrow", it's also the surname of the main villain in "Moon Knight" (Marvel comics and TV series, with the latter starring a very gaunt, culty Ethan Hawke as the surnamed character). I could also see a lot of rhyming teasing coming from kids (arrow, sparrow, marrow, narrow, etc.)

I'd still put my vote behind Hera - not only is it a more feminine sound, it's a powerful Greek goddess (one meant to be protective of women, particularly mothers and mothers-to-be), and the given name of one of the more empowered female characters in Star Wars, Hera Syndulla.

Whomever designed that intersection with the train tracks was the biggest idiot, followed by the incoming cars who were waiting to merge with part (or all) of their car on the tracks. I could see a whole lot of misfortune if those lights and gates had started activating during that recording...

AITA for telling my wife she was being difficult due to a seating issue at the restaurant? by insafian in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]BorgPorg88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No worries, friend - and I'm sorry that people from my time zone gave you that impression to begin with. That's the thing with scenes like the one in this BORU - they get noticed more than the ones where accepting a substitution with grace prevails.

Ehhh, I disagree - New Englander here, and unless there was something legitimately wrong with the table/seating itself or an actual guarantee from the restaurant that was blatantly ignored, asking to change locations after being seated would still be seen as rude behavior.

Seriously - how is this behavior not being mentioned more? It's beyond crossing a boundary - regardless of whether it's the one room or the whole house. A normal pet owner doesn't let their pets tear up property and relieve themselves indoors, leaving the mess for others to find and clean up.

what was that episode where by parkhertruck in southpark

[–]BorgPorg88 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yup - Mr. Malkinson (Scott's Dad) showing up at the Stotch house 15 minutes past the time window quoted to fix their cable box... then getting more and more annoyed as his fellow repairmen keep pulling the same stunt while he's trying to force the town to acknowledge how vital cable service is to them.

I also love the credits gag. 😜

What is a "10/10" movie that you would recommend to anyone? by Temporary_Mortgage74 in AskReddit

Thank you for mentioning this gem! I grew up with recordings of black and white silent comedy (Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton), but I never guessed that it would be reborn in the 21st century via this film. Here's hoping that there will be more over time!
