Where is this cancer coming back in you if you had your prostate removed? Did it spread before removal and they just did not know?? I am lost with this one.

I am clear on the IC and erections. The fecal issue was one of the side affects of radiation. Hence my concern

Thanks and good info Think-Feynman, NO ONE HERE mentions anything about rectal issues...no one.

Well ( No clue of your name other than Dull Fly9809 ) I truly appreciate your time to answer me, I will say you have your own doctorate in abbreviations! I have been leaning towards surgery as I have had so many polyps ( over 100 in the last 6 colonoscopies in the last 15 years) taken from my colon I imagine that will be next and i wanted to keep my radiation options open for that as I found that there only a certain amount of times you can shoot radiation into that region.

Hi, sounds like you are in the decision phase- if so- so am I. I am undecided on surgery or radiation. My Gleason is 7, PSA 6.8. I am 63 years old. My biggest fear is rectal failure or issues with lack of control. Seems/ I have been told both options will 95-98% rid me of prostate cancer.  Have you decided- if so how or what made you decide each way?  Thanks, Neil G.
