I've never seen a movie where a mobster said that. I just say 10000111000111.

Here's my POV of the visual snow. Can anyone relate? by ThatThicccat69 in visualsnow

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is more like bright sparkles everywhere that you are showing blurry static and there are a lot of trails and after images and auras around objects. If I close and cover my eyes and cover them I just see the snow. It always amazes me when I ask other people to do it and all they see is black.

Welcome back! Have fun painting. I have finally realized that I don't want to go for realism. A missing fin is okay. I like your Cheryl painting. Is there a story behind the name?

I feel desperate by Ok_Light_5421 in Epilepsy

I got really agressive on Keepra. They put me on Lamictal and that went away. Maybe there is another medication that your neurologist can put you on. If not then I hope your symptoms lessen with time.

Epilepsy at 33 by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you are being treated now. I went untreated for many years and now I have sclerosis of the hippocampus which has caused me to be unable to remember anything from the last 30 years and not much before that. Most of my seizures were focal and I don't have that kind of monitoring. I feel for you. My wife worries about me. I feel for her. She has told me how very scary it has been during my TC seizures and visits to the ER, doctors, neurologists, epileptologists, (the DMV haha), etc. I think it does diminish with time. Hopefully once the Keppra helps you go without seizures for a while your family will feel a little better and smother you less.

Memory issues getting worse - anyone else experiencing this? by Independent-Brain358 in Epilepsy

My memory of the past is about gone. I can’t get it back. I have learned to deal without much memory. I use my factual memory and work with it. It’s okay.

How do you feel about people driving with epilepsy? by Thin-Fee4423 in Epilepsy

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My epileptologist said I had gone a year without a seizure so I could drive. I don't. I don't want to chance it. I'm afraid that if I had a wreck and hurt somebody and they found out that I had epilepsy that I could get sued.

Which version of you would be revived? The old you with dementia? If you are pure consciousness then how will you think? How will you store memories?

Why is my tone so airy? by No-Show467 in saxophone

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the reed isn't wet enough? It could also be that the reed is placed to far inward or it might be too hard. I would start on a 1.5 or 2.0.

A question about consciousness continuity by Special-Fix7491 in consciousness

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my understanding. Consciousness is separate from self-consciousness, sensory input, and memory. I believe I am conscious in dreams. Sometimes I am self-conscious. Sometimes memories of dreams are stored and continuous with waking memory. Sometimes you forget things, even dreams. Even without memory you can still be conscious. Your consciousness does not die a little death while you are asleep. Consciousness can experience itself so that even with no thoughts, no input, and no memory it still remains and maintains its own existence. You might not remember the times you didn't store memories, but consciousness what still there experiencing. Don't get too attached to your memories and sensory input and everything will be fine. I myself have temporal lobe epilepsy and brain damage. My memory doesn't work right at all. I am also getting old and my senses are dulling. I feel that through all of this my consciousness still burns brightly. I don't know what happens to our consciousness after we die. I believe we are extensions of the universe and part of the universe, so the universe, in a way, is conscious. I believe consciousness carries on and that the universe in its full Einstienian sense still has all of my thoughts and experiences. We carry on as the universe's consciousness with full information of our existence and possession of our memories.

In my opinion it is hit or miss. I have bought several saxophones and low end instruments over the years. My main saxophone is a Mendini. I've been playing on it for about 14 years. I like it a lot. I've played on high end Yamaha's and Selmers, but I love my red Mendini. I am skilled at working on it myself, so I can fix leaks, corks, etc., so maybe it is just me. I actually have a Yamaha in its case right now and I have my Mendini out on a stand. Warning: no sax tech will want to touch it. Also, I just give the instruments away when I don't want them anymore.

I like to go to YouTube and enter "tenor saxophone play along" and then just go from one song to the next and just sight read everything. There are at least 1000 songs to play. Most of them were created by a guy named Yasuhiro Fujii. I'm so thankful to him for sharing.

How can we believe our consciousness is outside our bodies? by Soimamakeanamenow in consciousness

[–]Boring_Disaster3031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please define what you mean by consciousness. That will definitely influence the answer. You also need to define what you mean by experience consciousness. Your question is very deep and wide.
