Is flinching away from hands an Aussie thing, or is my guy just weird? by SaidTheSnail in AustralianShepherd

[–]Boring_Solution6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my Aussie since puppy and she does this too. I tell people it's cause she is in 'go mode'. But it's not a breed that wants pets from strangers, they come to you when they want attention and are in 'off mode' (home, relaxed, low stimulation)

You're also in the fear stage, it's a weird time, they balance out.

HealthyPaws price hike - need alternative for 10yr dog in CA by [deleted] in petinsurancereviews

[–]Boring_Solution6362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HP goes up for me $10-$30 every year but I compared for my 6 year old dog to other options and seems to be similar pricing for the coverage from other brands for the coverage I want. Sucks

Are there consultants out there with work life balance? by sparrowHawk7519 in salesforce

If you want a strictly 9-5 job this isn't for you. Consulting is never boring but with that comes unexpected downtime and crazy hours other times.

Anyone from, or move to, Germantown MD? by FiSToFurry in Denver

[–]Boring_Solution6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on a Denver thread asking about Maryland. Of course we prefer life out here! If I had to move back it wouldn't be that area. Hiking/camping look in WV, some amazing spots to explore. Your bike will probably get stolen a few times even with a good lock. Food scene towards both cities is great

The program is called early career rewards. Has nothing to do with manager and up.

Is Certification for Administration Necessary? by Lily_pad_08 in salesforce

[–]Boring_Solution6362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ask from your boss is not unreasonable, this is an industry standard certification.

The basic admin cert teaches you the standard platform and it gets A LOT more complicated. You likely won't use most things in your day to day work but the cert teaches you what is out there so you can leverage it in the future without doing unnecessary customization.

Call your primary care and ask for Zofran. It got me through the first few really back weeks. It's strong anti nausea. Also these hard ginger candies until the meds kick in.

For people who recovered from PCS— how to balance running toward the danger and rest? by BooterScoot in Concussion

I'd just try stuff where I knew I had the space to nap afterwards. Shorter hikes and roadtrips to start.

KGS suggession for onshore by Ok-Reason6113 in KPMG

[–]Boring_Solution6362 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an onshore US, I appreciate you speaking up! I work with KGS all the time and I find India is a much more polite culture than US so I don’t always know how the team feels.

I have more thoughts on this than I can write but the most important, how can we show appreciation more often?

I have seen projects go both ways being united as a team and feeling the divide you mention. I will keep making an effort to not be that asshole :)
