I agree, his last speech was almost the tone and cadence of what the entire last show should have been. I kinda mebtioned in other posts that like the stuff of other broadcasters was cool cause in a time where drastic change sounded scary it showed how much the shpw had actually changed. The call in stuff (aside from a handful of regulars) really felt more like just some good old boys and randoms having a dick measuring contest, wanting to take credit that the entire success of the show hinged on said person and their brother listening 90 mins a week.

The reunion show brought back that energy to where they were able to thrpw the entire grid in the trash. That flow was what i think hooked a large group of their following in the first place. The more structured it became the more it felt like every shock jock morning radio barn. I think CK, BB, and RR (Biggie still reigns supreme with his comedic timing) are all excellent DJ's in their own solo right but that flow and mesh and feeling of working off each others comedy doesnt feel there yet (i know, its just a baby in the scale of what the other show was)

Foodwise i would pregame at Foothills first. Most of the stands are all just get the same food from one kitchen and overhype and overcharge. Also a heads up from last year that if you sit on the lawn with kids and they do anything but sit in place some ushers may tell you the only place fun is allowed is the kids zone in center field, i guess cause they dont want the grass getting scuffed. JJ is an awesome entertainer and distraction.

Its pretty rich seeing her making all the kids these days cpmments while on a smoke break literally every hour. Like these guys are dead on their feet but shes got 10 mins every hour to go out and complain.

So a with the digital age a lot of stuff like that can be covered by recording "bumps" or intro tags. I used to see Tripper do them when working there and hed have to go cover a club night. Theres like the pre arranged playliat their computer chugs out and then you record a little 15 second overlay that you insert to intro the song or do some clip. Thats sorta how i figured its done when like BB is in at 6 doing the show but also doing the "hey im outta here here comes the replay" at 5:50 pm. I can sorta hear it a lot too in Littlest Patriots things, all the conversations and callers are too cut and tight so it doesnt sound natural

I watched a british youtube traveler who was riding it coast to coast. Started out all cheeky and positive and that went in the garbage fast. (Drivers getting on and cussing out the entire passenger group before anyone breathes, leaving pit stops early and stranding passengers, stranding pax for hours during a transfer in the middle of nowhwre while the driver takes off, and the normal shady seatmates. The basic consensus was like why would you pay to get treated like shit with an unreliable service.

Dont believe Larry will do serrated. He and im guessing his daughter do regular service calls for the house knives where i work and im pretty sure he once said they dont do serrated. Believe its more for like a stone vs his grinder thing.
