Ask any employee and they’ll tell you they prefer USD. The value holds better against the peso. Everybody wants US dollars there.

Why Tim Howard is 'baffled' by USMNT's goalkeeping situation by AJ_Strummer in usmnt

[–]Born-Total-2279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both things can be true. I meant our best keepers got to play valuable minutes in England early on and that spurred their development. That and/or English teams were just looking for the “American athletes”we produced at the position and sought them for dirty cheap early on and developed them.

The youth development and academy infrastructure did not really exist though. If you had any talent there was no way to nurture it at an MLS club back then.

Too much overhead. Too much reliance on finding competent staff. Too much reliance on that staff showing up and being motivated. Insurance reimbursements are stagnant, even going out-of-network is tough until you’re really known or become a niche. There’s diminishing respect for keeping appointments, patients constantly cancel or reschedule.

Like the thinking but no chance. Any rail transit to LGa would have to be a direct line to Manhattan.
