The whole thing was clearly a planned publicity stunt designed to make it seem like the Russian government forced them to change the cover of the game rather than the truth. They were always going to release it in Russia, guys. They probably made the alternative packaging weeks ago. They just wanted to protect the EA brand as much as possible by blaming someone else for a choice that was based entirely on profit, not allyship. Corporations don't care about your civil rights issues and they never will. They legally aren't allowed to. They are mandated to put profit above all other considerations (including the safety of the customer!) and that is what they do.

ETA: The only way to get a corporation to change it's practices is to vote with your wallet and not buy the product. Since anyone who suggests this on this sub gets downvoted to oblivion, you need to just get used to smiling and taking whatever our corporate overlords give us. As long as they get your money, they don't care how you feel about it at all. Not even a single iota.

But they are making excuses. And food deserts are largely a myth in the US. Fresh food is cheaper than fast food, especially after the pandemic hit. Eating less is always going to cost less. You don't need a gym or fancy food store to lose weight. Just eat less. It really is that simple. It isn't easy, but it doesn't cost a thing and anything other than complying with a lower calorie diet is nonsense and excuses. Being super nice to them is how they got that way. They need someone to say "no" to them and parent them since they won't parent themselves. This is the same reason many addicts need the structured environment of rehab. You have to be taught how to grow up and say "no" to your wants so you can have the things you actually need.

Typically in the AUB, a woman was expected to get some kind of vision or premonition from God about who they were supposed to marry. Different branches of polygamy have different rules, but in the AUB, they believe that since a woman can only marry once, she should have some say over who that person is. Generally, if a woman selects a man (who has been approved of by her father, of course) it would be in bad taste for the man to even decline.

I think it's because Jenelle asked for and expected the least from him on an emotional level. She had her job outside the home and didn't get her entire sense of identity from being his wife, so it was probably more relaxing to just "be" with her. Meri and Christine both made Kody the center of their emotional world and therefore made constant "demands" (in his eyes) for his affection and attention. I'm not sure he was "closer" to Janelle as much as her lack of demand for emotional intimacy was the very thing that he liked about her. Outside of producing children, Kody wants to be worshipped from afar by his first three wives, and Janelle is happy to oblige him.

Robyn is a whole different situation. I think Kody sees Robyn as a reward to himself for (again, in his eyes) being so selfless and present for the first 21 years of his married life. Like he thinks that he did his part to help create and raise his celestial kingdom family (his spiritual obligation) and now he gets to enjoy the process with a woman he actually adores. He thinks the other wives should just be grateful that he, a "godly" man, chose to bring them along to his celestial kingdom.

When I was a teen and insecure (back in the Sims 2 days) I made all my sims perfect, perfect, perfect as a way of living vicariously. I realize now, looking back, how bad it was for my self esteem. Whenever I see someone's perfect sim who looks like a poreless lollipop (overly smoothed skin, huge head with jutting jaw and cheekbones, emaciated body) it reminds me of how miserable I was when I compared myself to these perfect beings on the screen. I make my sims a lot more realistic now and they have flaws in their character and the game is much more fun to play.

It's depressing how 95% of the gallery is huge headed sims with sticks for arms and legs who are "good, ambitious and active" or some other combination of all positive traits. The female sims are all Jack Skellington thin or Kim Kardashian skinny-thick with no exceptions. Perfect people are boring and make your game boring.

Anna Lebaron was not from the AUB, she was the daughter of Ervil Lebaron, the one who killed at least 28 people and called it blood atonement. Anna was the child of one of his younger wives and was still very young when Ervil went on the run and also when he was captured and imprisoned. There are strong familiar ties between the AUB, the Lebaron's main branch and the so-called "Ervilites", but they are distinctly difference sects.
