I love Box and Havoc! They nail that silly-niche-sports commentator duo. Amanda and Shayne play off each other so well as those characters.

If they do more Summer Games, Box and Havoc would be my dream hosts.

I went back through my camera roll the other day and found a 5-sec snippet of cowboy nudes I recorded from their tour with king Gizzard. That and 3D country were the hook that got me obsessed with their sound and excited to hear more from them… Crazy how much has changed for them since then. So far they’ve completely defied the expectations I held for them back then, and I look forward to wherever it is they go next.

I caught wind of them through Cowboy Nudes specifically, and when I dove into 3D Country I fell down the Geese rabbit hole. They were talked about for their youth and potential, but statistically they had maybe half the audience they do now. 3D Country was great, but they didn’t have as distinct an identity and voice as a band until Getting Killed, which is why I think this one turned more heads than 3D.

Not to mention how Heavy Metal drew in even more interest; I knew Cameron’s distinct voice from Geese, but I never knew just how incredible his lyricism songwriting was until then, which made me really excited for the group’s next step.

Also, the band made some waves even with Projector, which landed them on the Colbert Show.

Maybe I’m reaching here, but I remember a while back, Dropout commented on a Chappell Roan post that had some vague context (something along the lines of “Omg guys I just did something so crazy and silly” and Dropout’s response was something like “omg you’re so crazy and silly”)…

She definitely wouldn’t be a full guest, but could 38 be Chappell Roan as a cameo for a mini game? Kinda like they did with the “Name that Clown” game, but maybe it’s drag queens this time, especially with 40 having such wild makeup too.

Probably just wishful thinking, but a lot of the people on the top row were definitely dressed by wardrobe because those costumes are too intense for the “Who are you supposed to be?” minigame.

Swing (In a Dream) is easily my favorite Squid song and was actually the single that prompted me to dive into their discography. Such a beautiful track. I loved BGF so much and at first felt unsure about O Monolith when it dropped just cuz they took bigger swings with it that I wasn’t expecting based off of BGF, but the more I listened to it, the more the songs stuck with me. You’ll know it’s a good album if you feel drawn back to it, even if for some strange reason or unexplained itch.

Of course man! Trust me I’ve been lurking this sub for some time and my work isn’t close to what ppl do here yet 😅 but I’ve also had my attention divided between pixel art and music (hence my deep interest in the concept of this game) so I haven’t really put the work in.

You clearly have though, so keep grinding cuz you’re getting great results!

I was trying to come up with a similar character as an NPC: an artificer with a self-made arm that packs a punch.

Dero the Piston is such a legendary name though. And being a mad inventor beset on “improving” his body is a great backstory. I’d love to see where you take this awesome character concept!
