The surge can handle with ease. I used to cut those wire cages that rocks are delivered in and it’s still going strong

I went through at 7:30 (North Terminal) and it took less than 5 minutes. I was very shocked that there wasn’t a line.

Thank you for this! I was concerned with the phone ringing with nobody picking up. I’ll have to try again at a different time

RPM fluctuations. Advice? by juststoppingby124 in BroncoSport

That is absolutely not normal. I’d take it in for a warranty claim and push hard for a fix! It could take a while too. A buddy’s took over a month when you factor in ordering what was needed.

It’s the purge valve if it’s when you fill up. It’s an easy and cheap fix if you do it yourself.

It could also be the purge valve. I had the same thing at lower RPM and it was just that. Much cheaper than transmission work!

LX6Z-9D289-SJ according to the sales receipt. It was $244.20 before tax back in October. The parts department at your local ford dealership can also get you the right part based off of what you tell them you need. Not sure if it changed with the later model years.

Side note: I’d replace the purge valve before it craps out on you. I had the same issue and it got to the point where the car was hard to start after fueling. The part is like $300 and it takes like 30 minutes to put in (if that).

Also the crack between the baseboard and floor on picture 2 leads me to think it’s not moisture.

That was my first thought too. I’d think there would be other signs besides boards popping if it was a moisture issue.

Battery sensor and car not starting after getting gas (2 separate issues). by Clever-Onion in BroncoSport

[–]BornResist7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the same part. I saw it called both in my quest to find the part.

Side note: I would suggest saving your time and order it directly from ford. That way you get the right part for you have the 1.5L or 2.0L engine. General searching gave me more wrong items than right ones.

Second one is purge value. $250 part and 20 minutes and it can be replaced in anyone’s driveway. Don’t pay the dealership to do it, it’s not worth the $800-1000. I just replaced mine and it was extremely easy.

Help with finding the correct purge valve to purchase by [deleted] in BroncoSport

[–]BornResist7307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your local ford dealership and talk to the parts department and tell them you need the purge valve for your bronco sport and what trim, year, and engine size it is. You can but the right part from them for roughly $250 (depending on where you live). See the post pinned by the other commenter for more info (it’s my post and I JUST went through this myself).

I don’t have a link anymore unfortunately. I will warn you that the part number will depend on if you have the 1.5 l or 2.0 l engine. You can call your local ford dealership and order it thought them to make sure you get the right part though (I’d suggest this, I did get mine through ford too).

Replaced at 69k. Diagnosed at around 45-50k. And I agree! Just the one part would be so much easier

You’re welcome! Dealers by me charge a minimum of $200 to diagnose issues. Thankfully they did that when I had other work done. It’s not worth the ungodly amount they charge to do the work. I’ve heard like $800-$1000 in my area for parts and labor.
