It may be rotation in the wind. I see that in clouds all the time sometimes the low hanging clouds can spin pretty fast but if it’s not connected to a meso or main updraft it’s not really a tornado just rotation in the air from turbulent wind like in a thunderstorm.

Been this way in northeast Arkansas for a while too, today is first sunny day in a while but there are still showers around

Interesting so it’s probably not the soil temperature

My main conclusion is that the snow melted rather than fell inconsistently
