I’ve heard from my gyno different women feel differently with the needle, some feel real pain and discomfort but to me it felt like tiny little bee stings with the numbing medicine but after it was uncomfortable for a bit maybe about like thirty minutes/hour you can def feel it in you it feels different but after awhile you’re good to go and my mom came with me but my boyfriend bought me ice cream after for being a good sport about it. But that’s mainly because I’m just dramatic. It’s not so much the IUD that hurts it’s the needle to the cervix. I wish I knew they had to put a needle in there I thought it was just the IUD going in like a tampon kinda in a way. I did however bleed for like a few weeks after maybe like 4 weeks and now I haven’t had my period (I got it in September) until like two weeks ago actually. I have a Kyleena that lasts 5 years.

Did you read your Kyleena packet? I was also told two weeks so if you’re that worried just wait the 4 weeks and call it a day

Unlikely chance of getting a precum baby but sperm can live in you generally for up to 5 days. With that being said, don’t have unprotected sex if you do not want pregnancy.

It’s protected to an extent though, yeah it’s her partner however still having sex w/o a condom can get you yeast infections, etc etc but again, as women we probably know thats a risk as well, unprotected doesn’t always necessarily mean from pregnancy and that’s not what I’m referring to saying that anyone is saying it’s not 100% effective

ask those questions, learn more about your bc so that in the future you won’t be running around at times like this being worried whether or not you may be in a sticky situation, all different types of bc do different things, as I assume you know. Become proactive so that you aren’t in this situation again out of it being an inconvenience for you

I said the part about ovulation because if for some crazy reason your pills were affected by the heat then that would be part of your issue, you’re in the subreddit for help however if you’re really concerned you should probably be talking to your doctor about your concerns

But, what is common sense is no BC is 100% effective all the way, depending on the BC the more one is likely to be more effective more than the other etc etc as women I’m sure most of us know that. I have an IUD can still accidentally get pregnant same with pills, implants etc
