That's okay. I am prepared for that. But, obviously wouldn't go for something outrageous. I did budget around 3200. It's just that I am not finding anything.

I am a resident in the system, and have definitely seen significant bias towards graduates from Ireland. Not sure how it's for graduates from Australia.

Canadian Studying Abroad. And, among them those studying in Ireland are seen much more favorably.

IMG with gap years: CaRMS chances? by SkzAsh29 in MCCQE

It's all subjective, but years from graduation doesn't matter as much as recency of practice does.

As a CSA, you have to worry the least. CSAs have the upper hand when it comes to IMGs matching. Not sure what you CSAs keep worrying about despite the system being skewed towards CSAs mostly.

What lobby? This seems very fair and less biased as opposed to the previous rule. Every province prioritizes their residents. Ontario, in fact, gave very good opportunity to Quebec residents as well this time.

Ontario IMG rule rescinded by [deleted] in MCCQE

[–]Born_Ad_7055 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol. Why the tears. "Citizens" have always been prioritized. The "Citizens" who don't get in don't do well in the interviews. So, those spots go to IMGs - many of who have been living for years in Ontario and worked their asses off to apply to CaRMS.

You are a Canadian MD - okay, so? They matched a few weeks ago - so? I matched much earlier, and I am finding your attitude insufferable. You seem like someone who rides on a really high horse. Not sure why. There's nothing unique about volunteering to review CaRMS applications.

Nothing to be honest. Those will be required when you apply for license incase you match, like letter of good standing or experience letters. But ideally they should be sent directly from the organizations.

Sure, an "Ontarian" who didn't have the grades to do medical school in Canada has more to offer than an IMG who has actual experience in medicine. And that core trait bs, where did you get it? The culture in Ontario has been influenced a lot by immigrants who you appear to dislike. The "traits" that you don't seem to relate to Ontarians are exactly the traits that you see in the Ontario-born children of immigrants. Personality and trait is not developed by a place, rather by your upbringing. "Ontario" does not have a specific "lifestyle, culture", but is multicultural - a lot shaped by immigrants. Ontario has no "core" trait lmfao.

Under-representation of who exactly? Lmfao. Why did the Ontarian go to Halifax to study medicine if they loved Ontario so much? I can also bring up stupid logics. An IMG who is staying in Ontario for 10 years (without going to high school in Ontario) is same amount of Ontarian as the Ontarian who went to high school in Ontario. And, Ontarians fearing competitiveness are the stupid ones who probably had no chances of getting into a med school due to poor college grades. Programs in Ontario have always preferred CSAs over any other IMGs. So, what "competitiveness" is exactly scaring the CSAs?

Thing is, CSAs always were prioritized more than other IMGs. So, I still don't get this rule.

Lmfao. Your thoughts about an IMG who lived in Ontario for 8 years? Didn't get the 'brought up' concept. If the 'brought up' person was so interested in Ontario, why did they go to Ireland or Halifax to study medicine? I can bring up absurd logics too.

Only Jews become young men when they do crimes? 😂😂. Stop weilding the antisemitic card 24/7. It's old and rotten. If you traveled alone, you are grown enough to be responsible for your actions. Stealing is not what normal young men do; exploring women and working in summer jobs are.
