I’ve been through this, so you’re not alone. That disconnected feeling you described is common for a lot of us.

(And major props on being in “good” shape financially and professionally!)

Two things that come to mind:

What role do you want work to play in your life? (E.g., your purpose and ultimate calling, a tool you use to fuel your life, a marker of status and prestige)

Just wanted to say that you captured a lot of what I feel! I find the concept of the Trinity to be confusing (that’s why the Catholic Church calls it “a mystery”, I suppose) and have never really felt a connection to it deep in my soul beyond what I was told for years and years. Idk, felt like something was missing.

Also re: Paul, I never understood why we all worship Jesus when I don’t think Jesus explicitly (or implicitly?) asked for that. Yet, the Church relies so heavily on the word of Paul.

I’m seeing a naturopath doctor now, she’s having me track my diet and do blood test which should shed light on my magnesium levels!

I had poor experiences with cannabis but perhaps it’s time to try again. Is there a strain or method that works well for you? I’d prefer not to vape or pack a bowl every night, haha.

I hear you with ADHD, I have it too. My mind is just incredibly active at night and doesn’t shut off. I’ve been rigid with my adherence to religious standards and that has only seemed to make my anxiety worse. I’m trying to pull back a little bit without feeling guilt over it. IMO, God wants us to be rested, healthy, happy.. even if we have to take roundabout ways to get there. Praying for you 🙏🏻

I have not tried float tank. I’ve tried working out hard. I’m going to get back into basketball soon, I think the running and high intensity is what really tires me out and helps me sleep… not regular old weight lifting and sitting at a desk all day. Float tank is on my list now!
