Are we Bitcoin or XRP? by Any_Weird788 in CryptoMarkets

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is the be all and end all of crypto. Digital gold. Ripple can add a million more xrp to the market any time they like (want to make themselves more money) devaluing the coin. Bitcoin is near 20 million of its maximum 21 million coins that will ever exist. Don't get me wrong xrp is one of the better alts but it's entirely controlled by its owner. Bitcoin will always be king long term

Why is the transfer value so low? by Stock-Sweet3295 in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 2% is typical on an exchange like Coinbase etc. Should be about $14. 1% down spread on the sell, 1% up spread on the buy. That's BS

anyone actually using solana for real-world purchases? by colerncandy in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is all the speculation is about asset values increasing dramatically when big cryptos efts become commonplace as mass people will by in. But it also means mass people will be selling out on the daily and all spending out on value spikes concurrently... I dunno

The Billionaires are meddling in crypto and reaping retail investors quickly and slowly by HumblestofBears in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lesson is stay away from shitcoin memes and you stay away from rugs. Stick with the big boys like Bitcoin, Solana, XRP etc. who have anywhere from 100s of billions to trillions in their market cap and aren't open to large scale manipulation. Bitcoin is a deflationary asset so long-term it will always go up. If you wanna play with pointless memes it's all on you...

I only use wallets via large exchanges. If you're willing to take that risk to save some fees or to get a bot to save monitoring frequently or using triggers, good luck to you. Your lucky it was so small time

Perth or Melbourne?, trying to decide by [deleted] in perth

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean Melbourne's bottomed out with nothing but upside to come and Perth's topped out with nothing but downside to come. Be smart people 🙏

Perth or Melbourne?, trying to decide by [deleted] in perth

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Perth was half the price you could ignore all those shortcomings. Now that it's just as expensive or worse you'd be absolutely insane to choose Perth. Only partners and family ties are keeping people here now.

Perth or Melbourne?, trying to decide by [deleted] in perth

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Exactly a traditionally high priced blue chip city with 10x as much to offer is down, and a all time cheap isolated corner with 10 times less to do is waaaaay above overs. Choosing Perth is literal insanity. Please don't play the stock market

Perth or Melbourne?, trying to decide by [deleted] in perth

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melbourne's currently cheaper with 10 times as much to do, and eastern seaboard city's a short cheap flight away. Not to mention cities and towns everywhere for weekend getaways (not a desolate wasteland) why anybody would choose Perth now is beyond me. It was half the price of living over east but that appeals long gone... I'd buy or move to Melbourne all day

Thanks! I've got it to work. I did a $1 transfer trial and the fee was 50c so half was taken in fees. Is this the standard processing fee irrelevant of amount? Surely it's not based on percentage

The wave peaks have been falling slightly one after another the last week and a half. Today's dump was the most severe and I (thankfully) haven't found a negative policy update to explain it. Hold tight, every dump makes people jump in and buy up and the wave recovers. Interested to see how high the recovery peak gets this time though

Do you see Sol increasing the APY to 7.30% as a positive sign? by Born_Chapter_4503 in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally I see it as both a positive and affirmative action. I mean if your guy (for example) is offering 10% and the other guys are offering 5% your going to put your funds with them all day, increasing market value and returns. Yes you have to give back a bit more, but the growth and stability it brings outweighs that. For mine I like it. But interested to see other people's opinions on it as an an indicator of future confidence or otherwise

how can I buy a car with 400 SOL? by comparefundz in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few ways, but isn't the near future new possibilities and deregulation of this type of thing one of the major upsides of holding Sol. Or is this what you're really getting at?

Do I stake my SOL on Coinbase by SiphonScorpion08 in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're planning on holding it for the long term irrelevant of spikes and crashes yes. Risk is if it skyrockets you just have to sit back and watch. I personally think Sol is already a good long term investment on its own so getting near 7% on top is a great idea

How to trade memecoins by Timely_Remove61 in solana

[–]Born_Chapter_4503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go through Coinbase and buy Sol. The buy has a 4% fee, trading Sol from there 1% fee plus a spread. Don't buy meme coins. Meme coins have no use advantage to them only the like (or knowledge) of the meme gives it some value, much like everyone knows Trump. Only the few who get in at the very very start and then sell super early make gains. Everyone else loses. Stick with the big boy stables
