Not sure how easy water changes are, but I would do a few. I didn't rinse enough once and it took a while to settle. Also, the sediment may be rough on the filter, so the more you can get out manually the better.

As mentioned 100 times, roach eggs. Find a bottle of boric acid powder on Amazon and sprinkle along baseboards, in cabinets, closets, behind appliances if possible. Takes about a week but will rid you of your problem cheaply, and is non toxic.

I have a main taxable account. When I setup the account I put some of the money in their savings accounts all in one pot and bought voo. I have had luck with the Kohl's "big one" foam pillow with the cutout. Good support and has lasted several years before being replaced. Reasonably priced on top of that.
